I've been thinking, I really like the fact that no one has died yet. It means that the characters are more realistic as a whole, not freaking out the second they are put into the situation and that those that are inclined to murder and are considering it are more intelligent and scheming than usual also. I like my realistic characters in extremely unrealistic settings.

Wow, I really wasn't expecting Maizono to die so soon. Kinda glad she did though, I didn't really like the direction she was bringing the game and her freak outs were getting a bit grating. No ideas on who the murderer could be, but the fact that the bathroom door was opened is puzzling. One theory I have though is that perhaps it was opened by one of the taller students, someone who would naturally push the door open at the top. I think Sakura would be the tallest, but it really doesn't seem like she would be the culprit. It's hard to tell the heights of the other characters, but at least Leon, Oowada, Togami and Hagakure seem to be among the taller ones.

Just catching up with the thread now. Genocider Syo really is the best character. The one thing I have to throw into the "Chihiro is a dude" debate (that hopefully hasn't already been said) is that calling her whatever her actual name is from the very beginning would be a very Monobear-ish thing to do. Or maybe it will show up on her ID card when it is found.

I may be getting mixed up with the chronology of events here, but when Mondo blew up at Naegi for suggesting he should spar with Sakura, was this before or after Chihiro was killed? Either way, it's a pretty interesting character development. We're aware that he definitely saw Chihiro as a man afterwards, due to the change in his speech patterns, but could he possibly still harbour some extra guilt due to the fact that Chihiro himself possibly identified as a female?
