Also, I'm having a world of trouble trying to do Frank's Hammer Throw. When am I charging and for how long? Does that just mean to hold the stick back? I always end up throwing a pie instead. Also, does the camera OTG or do I need to hit them off the ground first for it to connect? I can never hit it after his shopping cart hyper like some people seem to.

Shot you a friend request, I'm super rusty and want to get some practice matches in before the tourney.

How do you follow up after Morrigan's forward+H on the ground? It seems you need to be insanely quick with the follow up jump, and i'm not sure what I should be doing to extend the combo/relaunch.

Forward+H is able to be jump cancelled, so as soon as you hit it you should be jumping upforward to follow your opponent. Once you're in the air you have quite a lot of followup depending on how much damage you want to get out of it but get harder to execute the more damaging they are. Here's a couple follow ups from F+H in order of difficulty and damage:

j.MH delay S land cr.MHS sj.MMH Shadow Blade H

j.MH delay S land cr.MH F+H j.MH delay S land cr.MHS sj.MMH Shadow Blade H

j.MMH Soul Fist H Fly adf j.HS land cr.H F+H j.MMH Soul Fist H Fly adf j.HS land cr.HS sj.MMH Shadow Blade H

With all of these you can cancel the Shadow Blade into Finishing Shower or Darkness Illusion for more damage, and if you end with the former you can also connect with an S when you gain control again depending on the position of your opponent and followed up with a Shadow Servant if you choose. Shadow Servant can also be followed up from her level 3 if you have the meter and really want the kill or extra damage.

You can do three repetitions of this loop?

Do you have any videos of this being performed? I really want to see if I should put the effort into learning this because it's way more complicated for unknown amounts of damage. Meter gain would be significantly higher with 3-4 specials in it though.

Sorry if I didn't make it clear enough, the combo incorporates two F+H followups so the full combo would look something like this:

St.L cr.MH F+H j.MMH Soul Fist H Fly adf j.HS land cr.H F+H j.MMH Soul Fist H Fly adf j.HS land cr.HS sj.MMH Shadow Blade H xx Finishing Shower(Mash)

I can't remember of the top of my head but I think it does ~600K fully mashed out and builds about 1 1/4 bars, takes the opponent from midscreen to corner, and if you're positioned correctly can follow up the super with S and go into Shadow Servant to boost the damge to ~725K damage for two bars total. I haven't looked around to see if there is a combo that does more damage than that for similar meter usage but this is as high as I've gotten Morrigan's damage output to go so far. If you think that might be a little too complicated and can't pull it off reliably I also found a variation of that combo that's a bit easier to execute but does about 20K less damage:

St.L cr.MH F+H j.MH delay S land cr.H F+H j.MH delay S land cr.HS sj.MMH Shadow Blade H xx Finishing Shower(Mash)

So I need some help with my team. So far I've been running Ghost Rider(Heartles Spire)/Morrigan(Dark Harmonizer)/Doom(Missiles) and I've been having a decent amount of success with this team but lately it's become more of a struggle as Ghost Rider becomes more and more of a liability because he keeps getting blown up by characters that can rush him down or zone him out before he can get his own offense set up (which is like 90% of the time). I'm trying to find another character to replace him and has better synergy with my other two characters. Right now I'm giving Skrull another shot and dabbling a bit into Spencer but I'm open to any suggestions anyone might have.

How are you getting blown up that badly when using Ghost Rider? Doom Missiles should be doing a more than sufficient job of keeping people off you/punishing an opponent's attack. Something tells me you're not using Doom's assist enough.

See I don't know how it's happening either and maybe I'm exaggerating how badly it's happening, it just seems to be happening more prevalently as of late and is sort of frustrating. I call Missiles as often as I can and it tends to work out well enough but if they happen to get past the missiles I'm not all that sure of what to do, Heartless Spire has too much startup too be used effectively as do the rest of his normals and pushblocking hasn't really done me much good either. Maybe it's just a case of me being really bad with Ghost Rider vv

You might want to post this information in #goonsgarden. I'm not sure how many people that still play this game are actively following the thread but you might be able to pick up some more people there.

Seriously, it sucks that we can't even get more than half a dozen people for Xbox even though we had a good turn out the first week of these so it's not like there's a shortage of players. Anyway, in case you need it in the future I run Spencer/Morrigan/Doom.

It occurred to me last night that I need to play sets with people instead of 1-off games like ranked. I'm gonna start finding lobbies/player matches but if anyone on here wants to play some sets I am game.

I realized that playing a single game makes me tend to do really stupid poo poo just hoping it will work since I can get away with it sometimes on randoms and bad players. I'm hoping that playing the same player for a while will force me to do some smarter stuff since the other player should learn my bullcrap and punish me for it.

Congrats. I like to hold the joystick using only my thumb and forefinger with my thumb at 5 o'clock and my forefinger at 11 o'clock but do whatever works best for you.

Send a friend request my way, I regularly get into 30+ game sets with one of my friends and having another playing to go long sets with would be great for more practice and character variety.

ggs ragebeef I feel like my only shot was to call drones and go ham but I missed a lot of confirms and dropped a bunch of combos. I'll play you some more after I level up my Dante from ultra fraud to turbo fraud.

GGs to you too, you almost had me a few times when you almost took both Spencer and Morrigan out because god forbid my fraudulent Doom have to come in and be something other than an assist. I was surprised I did as well those games though, considering I haven't really played the game for the better part of a month. Still need to figure out a better way to approach with Spencer and Doom Missles so I'm not leaving myself to get airthrown and or Doom to eat a combo.

What combos are you trying to learn? I have some pretty terrible execution and while it took a while to get it down, I can do the standard 4 Soul Fist jump loop consistently.

Basically, it's this combo:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vx_X24KMbLs

If I'm really feeling myself, I can sometimes actually hit the dash down air H, sometimes I'm even lucky enough to unfly, but that's when it falls apart.

My BnB I was talking about is basically this but done through f+H instead of the launcher. This one you're trying to learn is nice because of high damage output, but after practicing it myself it's a hell of a lot more finicky on where it want the opponent to be. If the unfly to downward dash is what's giving you trouble I'd recommend trying to get that motion down consistently by using an easier combo, my recommendation would be what my current BnB is:

air H, cr.H, f+H, (air MMH, H Soul Fist, fly, dash down, H, H Soul Fist, unfly)x2, cr.H, S, air MMH, M Shadow Blade, Finishing Shower

This is a much more lenient combo in my opinion and learning to do this combo should make learning the launcher based one much easier as you can already do the basics of it. Just take the combo piece by piece, making sure you can do it consistently before adding on the next part. If you're still having trouble doing the down dash you can try replacing it with a forward dash to get the dash down and then incorporate the down when you're comfortable.

I find that when doing soul fist combos, when you fly after the first soul fist, let the stick swing back to neutral before dashing down. I just do the fly motion and let my hand come off the stick for a split second before dashing and that helps me keep the rhythm going.

This is also really good advice, and I wasn't even aware that I was doing this as well until I read it. Taking the stick back to neutral before going down helps a lot in making sure you're actually getting down and not a different direction.

If all else fails I know a couple easier Morrigan f+H loops that do range from 600-675k for one bar depending on where your opponent is relative to you when you do Finishing Shower that I could show you.
