I used to not care for Viola, but I liked her after she was one half of one of the most awkward exchanges in the game

Kinzie: I like your hair. It's shiny.
Viola: Yours could look like this too, if you, like, washed it.
Kinzie: Can you show me how.
Viola: ... I... Guess.
Kinzie: We're like sisters now.

Yeah! And I think she did a great job. She has a slight lisp, but otherwise it was really good. I also really liked Hulk Hogan as Angel for some reason. And whoever Killbane's voice actor is, I swear he must be in some children's shows, because I hear Killbane when my little sister watches cartoons all the time.

I really appreciated how fun the voice acting was in SR3. Everyone was obviously having a great time recording the lines.

Dumb question:

I've just started on act 3 so the central island is completely locked down, and all of the bridges have been raised. Everything will go back to normal by the end of the game, right? Having the bridges raised in particular makes it almost impossible to do some of the vehicle thefts

Not really. You can go all the way north for any vehicle theft that can't make the jump though. The bridges up there will work.

For the thefts I recommend using a cop reset ability. Once you're in the car you won't have a wanted level after calling it in, just don't exit the vehicle.

Weirdly, the cop resets don't seem to work for me with vehicle thefts. Using the ability just resets me to one star (and no, I'm not on the central island at the time). The one that's really bugging me is the armored car (Titan?) you have to steal from near the casino, since it's too slow to jump across the bridges. And with 1 star's worth of STAG troops shooting at me, I take too much damage to go the long way round.

I'll give it another shot up north though.

You don't want my life. What do I have to show for it? Metal plate in my chest, Vatican karate gorilla blood on my hands, and a foot locker full of manbro viles.

Out of the all the voices, I really wish they let Hulk channel his charisma through Angel. Maybe I'm a really biased luchador fan but man Angel was a goddamn stick in the mud. I mean how you can make someone who lives and breathes wrestling boring. I mean you got Hulk Hogan voicing him, I thought it was going to awesome. Angel is probably the weakest of the new crew.

I did HOWEVER enjoyed when Hulk was commentating in S.E.R.C. That felt very natural and more of what I expected.

Also yes, gently caress Shaundi from SR3. Worst character ever. Just angry action girl all the time. I did not believe one second of apparently her little reality show. If it was SR2 Shaundi then I would've believed it.

I mean hell she complained at Gat for killing a guard in the beginning mission of the game. It's like.. really?

Pierce on the other hand. Went from hilarious awesome, to goddamn great. While he's not a punching bag anymore, he's still himself and is basically The Boss right hand man.

The new crew I do like and I hope they keep them. Also for Gat:

Bring Gat back drat it. Him getting killed by a waffle making motherfucker ain't his style.

I thought it was weird how they handled Hogan's character too. You have the most charismatic dude ever and then make him a solemn mentor guy with no personality. Maybe that was supposed to be the joke or something. I didn't really appreciate the implication that the boss needed to be taught how to be a badass by a washed up wrestler either.

I must be an outlier in thinking that Sasha Grey sounded pretty bored the whole time too.

Yeah loved the direction they went with Pierce for this one, felt like an organic progression. I'm still hoping for a dlc that does some stuff real good stuff with Gat, I don't care if its a pre-story romp or whatever. I just want to wreck poo poo with him like the old days or whatever.

Considering the dire straights THQ is in, I really don't think we'll be seeing any celebrity voice acting in the sequel just because of the costs associated, unless they *really* like the Saints Row franchise (Daniel Dae Kim might, he said he liked doing it). They'll probably go with the Killbane ending, as that eliminates all of the high profile voice actors.

I honestly don't have high expectations for SR4 in terms of anything new. They'll probably use steelport as is, add in interiors, and add more building facades, but I feel the general structure of steelport will remain the same. We'll probably won't see a change in the wardrobe system, just more outfits. Probably more hairstyles and dances and poo poo. They'll probably add some of the cars that didn't make it from SR2 and some activities like Fuzz back (which is a good thing). The radio station selection is probably going to be worse, poo poo costs money to license, I don't even want to know how much it cost to get "Power" in the game.

I don't see the different choices coming back either, why do things twice when they could do it once and I don't think many players really liked having to decide between rewards; they want them all. I'm sure the story will most likely be more satisfying, or at least they're going to try make it be (from what their new ceo said).

That is to say however, it won't be a bad game, just more of the same.

I have searched high and low (I promise) and still haven't found a solution for this even though it's a known issue. The answer has to be out there.

When using a gamepad is there any way to adjust sensitivity outside of in-game? As anyone using a controller with this knows the sensitivity is way too low and it sets vertical sensitivity REALLY low. Are there any mods/.ini hacks that can alleviate this?

I thought Sasha Grey did a pretty good job, the character to me always looked like she was bored, so I felt her voice fit Viola's personality. But then again I was kinda happy to see her in something that didn't have 10 dudes trying to jab her eye out with their dicks, or distend her rear end in a top hat, or make her eat dog food. TL;DR Sasha Grey's porn is disturbing more often than not.

Guys, how does SR3 run in the PS3?

I have the PC version with lots of DLCs and was eager to replay it, but suddenly the game started running with pretty unstable framerates here, so I'm contemplating getting a PS3 copy (which will be expensive where I live) if it runs flawlessly.

I've been reading some things about gameplay being affected after you've taken over territory due to a lack of rival gang members. Is there any straightforward way to have gang members populate for assassinations/taunt challenge/etc? I know you can use the GoS/standalone mission replay function to reset the world state as far as bridges/STAG presence but I'm guessing that leaves territory states intact.
