Other than the names and the Nyteblade pack, no. Nyteblade is a car, bike and 2 outfits, and the other 3 are mission packs.

Whoa, are we already pretending SR2 had a good story? That part of the cycle usually takes at least a week, you guys and your early copies.

Customization, side missions, the world... fine. But the story, come on now.

You know, if we swapped the Saints Row audience with the Assassin's Creed one it would be perfect. SR's audience seems to want the same game with a different story, and Assassin's Creed's audience aren't pleased unless everything is changed.

Gang Operations are weird. You have to get close enough to "trigger" them before you start killing people. It seems if you kill any of the targets before you actually trigger the operation, you can't clear it. You have to run away and let everyone respawn and try again.

I think this was intentional to keep you from nuking operations with the helicopter, but it's still kind of a weird way to handle it especially since the game doesn't tell you. It would make more sense if killing a target without triggering the operation caused a little "Gang Spooked!" message to appear and they'd all run away so you'd have to try again.

Yet you can still helicopter nuke as long as you do it from close.

Do missions change in co-op?

I remember in 2 there was a hospital mission, where solo you had to go to the roof then to the parking lot, but in co-op one person went each way. Hopefully they did that more often this time.

There are some changes here and there, most noticeably stuff like the Angel mission where you use the RC gun to blow up the competition, one player flies the helicopter, and in Murderbrawl, one person fights Killbane while the other stays outside the ring and clears out his goons, but you can run to the side of the ring and get tagged in by your partner.

What about all those "Hang out of a helicopter and shoot stuff" missions? Do you just get 2 shooters, or does the other fly?

I'm sure I'm going to get gang banged for saying this considering how rabid SR fans can be but is anyone else disappointed by the game? I don't really know that I can explain why but my friend and I just aren't enjoying the co-op in SR3 as we did in SR2. If I had to explain why, it's just a lack of good missions. It seems like all we are doing are activities and a lot of them involve either him or I just sitting on the back of something while the other does all the work. Honestly, I'm not a big fan of the activities and never have been. I can appreciate the game in the sense that it's a lot more inspired than the others and a lot funnier but it just doesn't feel "fun" if that makes sense.

Please don't kill me.

Keep going. There's about 10 of those activity into missions, then you get into actual missions.
