So does this only change the exterior of the places, ie. it doesn't always have the option at the door to go inside Safeword? Or does it allow you to walk in these places anytime? Either way I'm so stoked for the GUI release.

Hey Idol, I noticed Joe's Tacticool Weapon texture mod on the mod site, and I wasn't sure how trying to install that would effect my GOS setup, since it would also be altering files. That are also altered by the other weapons mods. Is there anyway to get both?

It should be just fine. Weapon textures don't use any of the same files.

Would there be any way to have a number to call to initiate one of those survival mini games? Or at least increase the frequency at which they call? It's one of the last challenges I have left, I'm at the last mission, and have only gotten 4 the whole game.

orcane

It's really weird, first time I played through it (just after release) I kept getting calls and finished all survival events before I finished the last mission.

When I replayed the game two weeks ago, I ended up with maybe 25% of them done for some reason. Sure I spent more time loving around the first time (and even more trying to earn money, before I knew how to optimize that...), but it was a pretty significant difference.

You get calls after a period of time where you've not been accomplishing very much. You're more likely to get calls while just exploring and not racking up notoriety than if you're constantly in trouble or bouncing between missions.

Thanks once again to Idolninja for all of his efforts with Gentlemen of Steelport, returning to SR3 has been an absolute pleasure with all these crazy new toys and improvements to play with. Wish the ears weren't so messed up on the enhanced sliders mod though, it's really hard to make a realistic version of myself when the ears have drilled a horrible hole into the side of my head

Yeah, what Songbearer said. If you want to get in more Survival calls, go stand in front of stores and sit in Saints HQ for a while. Just idle for a bit. I'm not sure if Survival calls are tied to specific locations so you can 'run out' of calls to do at a certain Planet Saints or something but this is how I did my Survival calls.

Unless you've already done them all, you'll get called for the nearest one you haven't done yet (or possibly one of the nearest, not sure if there's any randomness to it in that regard). Once you've done them all I think it's just whichever is nearest (or maybe random from a few within range?), so if you hang out at the same spot you'll keep getting the same call.

SRTT Save Editor is out!
http://www.saintsrowmods.com/forum/...e-editor-c.1042

The editor will allow you to toggle player upgrades on and off, set weapon levels, change respect and cash, activate any unlock in the game including alternate mission choices, toggle territories back to gang control which allows them to spawn again, edit your garage and arrange cars up and down the list, and more!

I’ve had the pleasure of helping Corrodias test out early builds this past week, and it is a seriously awesome app that everyone needs in their Saints toolbox!

NOTE: Like all SRTT modding, this app is only for the PC version of the game and not consoles.

SRTT being stuck on one time of day in the open world always annoyed the holy hell out of me. So, I took a break from working on the GoS gui and was able to create an actual day/night cycle. The transitions are currently abrupt since Volition only bothered to create 4 times of day (sunrise, noon, sunset, and night.) But, I should be able to easily create a bunch of transitions to make the changes a lot smoother.

Just wanted to share the good news. An alpha should be out soon.

It's absolutely 100% compatible with GoS. The only file it has in common is sr3_city.lua that's part of the Mission Replay mod. The Sandbox+ version of it contains all the custom mission replay functions though so it will work just fine whether you have GoS installed or not.

Could you dick around with the Sandbox+ binds and not gently caress up a co-op game? I don't really see anything in there that would negatively affect a co-op partner, but I figured I'd play it safe.

It shouldn't cause any trouble at all for coop players. The one thing to keep in mind though is that only the host can use these commands with the current build. The remote player joining won't have the same threads running even if he has the mod installed. It's something I'm hoping to correct before a final release.

Well... there is one thing I just thought of... if you swap zones in and out, like the cribs back to the original states like BDSM club and 3 count casino, it may save that state on your remote player's end if he saves. If he's somewhere in the story that expects a certain zone and it's different, then he might not be able to proceed (unless he installs the mod and switches the state back.)

One thing I'm having a problem with, and it's probably just me, is that my keyboard's "Insert" keys aren't working when I try any of the combinations that use "Insert". I've tried the "Insert/Print Screen" button and the "Insert" key on the Numpad and neither one work.

Also the drunk animation put a permanent 40 in your hand that only goes away if it's knocked out (I had to jump off a roof and land without a parachute).

I guess that second one's not really a "problem".

Hmm... Are you on a laptop or some kind of compact keyboard? It might be handling the Insert input in a weird way.

You can actually change what key triggers it by opening up control_binding_sets.xtbl that comes with the mod and searching for CBA_TOW_TRUCK_TOWING_RIGHT. Once you have found that control entry, then change the <Key> line right below from INSERT to another key like APOSTROPHE.

Hey, maybe you guys can help me with this. I was trying to play SR2 on my laptop and the game is too quick. Like I zip by lighting quick when running, driving cars anywhere is almost impossible because they almost immediately turn before I can straighten them out due to increase sensitivity, it's hard to aim, and I don't get enough time to savor those truly vicious beatdowns I give to people. I enabled Vsync so now I can see more frames but it's ridiculously fast.

It was some kind of Logitech keyboard, an "Elite" with media controls. The Insert key and the Print Screen button are the same, and I don't know if there's a way to switch between the two. I swapped it out for a cheap-o that came with my new computer and it's working fine now (and holy poo poo is Superpowered Sprint awesome!).

Ok, I'm probably stupid, but I mentioned this in the main thread and it is driving me insane now.

In the last stage of the final Clones mission, the helicopters at the bridge won't spawn to attack, the only enemies are on an unreachable building that I can barely reach with 2 rockets. It has been suggested that I used the heli to boat thing, but I'm pretty sure I never have. This is kinda supported by the fact that the helicopters in the first phase at the crib still spawn, and helicopters still work fine in the overworld.

I have cleared my patch multiple times, but then when I go in to the game all the options are still there, and except for DLC vehicles, my helipad crashed back to the game world if I try to highlight any of the normal game helicopters. I'm not sure if I've become stuck in some weird limbo where half the helicopters work and the other half don't but I'm confused. I can't even highlight my VTOL in the helipad, but I can call my VTOL homie. Heli homie is always busy.

What did I gently caress up?

Sounds like you may have some loose mods in the root of your install with the exe that are causing you trouble, or a corrupt install of some game files. The easiest way to get things back to vanilla is to go to that folder and delete all files there (but leave all the subfolders.)
..\steam\steamapps\common\saints row the third\

Then verify integrity on Steam which should bring you right back to vanilla.

Try the mission again and see if it works. If it does, then build a new GoS patch and see if everything is still okay.
