Why, yes, I do like Kirby games.

So I started a new world with the idea that I'd bring some friends over, collect a bunch of candy cane blocks while we can, and build a little winter wonderland.

Naming it 'Candyland' may have been optimistic.

Also, what are NPCs capable of, movement-wise? So far, it seems the only way to get them to use housing that isn't 'a straight line of houses on level ground' is to move far enough away that they can spawn into the house...

Is there a bug with the new version and water? I started a base in a snow biome, and I wanted to make a little pond under my work table to make alchemy easier, so I made a little 2x2 chamber. Only the water level keeps dropping, and I can't work out why. Expanding it to a 2x3 chamber didn't help; I dumped a bucket in as it was getting close to full, and instead the level dropped a full square's worth!

I understand there's a bug that allows the production of infinite water by pumping it into the same reservoir it's being pumped from. Has this bug been fixed, or am I doing something wrong? Because I built this...

...to keep the area I'm growing my water plants in fully moistened, and it doesn't seem to be doing the trick.

Why do I want a pump in the first place? Because for some reason, the water level keeps dropping... does waterleaf actually consume water? Or filling water bottles? Is it something to do with the snow biome?

For me, putting more outlets than inlets seems to duplicate water for me.

I tried that, but I couldn't get the second outlet to, uh, outlet. Could you show me a simple arrangement that'll do the trick?

When in doubt just have your outlet drop water on to a block, it splits and makes 2 blocks of water.

I tried that--

--but letting it run in both singleplayer and multiplayer didn't increase the water level any. In fact, I lost a little.

Is it possible the snow biome's interfering? Or am I still doing something wrong?

On a totally different note, is there an easy way to drain large underground pools of water quickly before the mechanic arrives and sells pumps?

You can just keep draining the pools downward until you reach hell; water evaporates there. There's a bug involving settling which can cause pools to remain in hell, but if you disturb those pools, the game will remember itself and evaporate the water.

Got some time to sit down and work on designs for gold and demonite. Here's where we stand currently, please pick it apart so that I can get animating.

The instant I looked at the gold design, I thought 'Super Sonic?' That's... probably not what you want.
