I don't think they are about release order that much considering they did Mega Man 2 first. Also, Mega Man 5 and 6 were both released before X in Japan according to wikipedia.

Great news! I actually prefer X to 5 or 6 since the former is a much better game. Although I have to agree that if Arino can beat the NES games, X should be much easier? But of course it's Arino, so... Also, I guarantee you that Arino will never learn how to do the dash-jump or ceiling-break properly and thus won't be able to get that gun upgrade (of course it could be a fun moment where Arino spends an hour trying and then Matsui comes in and succeeds on the first go, like Sasano did with MM2 Quick Man beam part).

The last boss wasn't very tough for me, but damned if the big spider didn't constantly wreck my poo poo. It was doubly annoying since he had what I thought was an obvious pattern but I'd die anyway.

Yes! I had an exhausting day at work (fun fact: working an eight hour shift in retail on the day before Easter is a lot busier/more exhausting than you'd expect), so thank you guys again for what I'm sure will be another amazing episode!

I'm pretty disappointed at how early Arino fizzles out in Rocky Rodent, even with the continue code. He got past the halfway mark but it didn't even feel close.

Man that game actually looks pretty good. I was wondering how I had never heard of it but apparently it was never released in Europe. The hair styles giving you different abilities seems like a neat gimmick.

Rocky Rodent looked pretty interesting, seemed like the bastard child of Mario and Sonic. Is the hairspray really just a crappier version of the clipper? Seems like the only downside to the clipper was you could get one shot if you got hit after throwing your hair. The Tamage segment was pretty good, I about lost my poo poo when Arino played Metal Slug with the old lady.

That was an amazing episode, even if the protagonist looks like a bargain bin Sonic the Hedgehog, and it seemed like Arino could've beaten it, the game seemed like it was just right for his skill level. Pecky...  And since they're now playing Irem games, a Hammerin' Harry challenge couldn't be that out of place!
