I had some time to kill after the lunch rush yesterday so I did a stupid long workout. I worked from 6:30 AM to 7 PM yesterday and then went straight to rehearsal. Today I'm getting dinner with my sister after work (Teacher Appreciation Day at Chipotle, buy one get one free with a teacher ID, so basically I buy her an early Mother's Day dinner and get my own dinner as a result) and then I have another rehearsal. Wednesday is hanging out with dance girl which will be awesome and relaxing, Thursday is a happy hour with an acquaintance heavily involved in the DC fitness industry so network network network, and finally Friday I help my sister move and then throw a party. Saturday I am going to be useless to the world. Oh hey, benwards, Vomax, I moved up the date from the 17th. Can you guys swing it?

Speaking of Chipotle, thanks for mentioning how you can do a half and half bowl. It's become a reliable lunch for me in the sense that it's pretty consistent regardless of where you are!

Alright just letting my neuroses run free now April 2012 vs May 2013 ![]() ![]() Seriously I pretty much nailed that pose. Probably about 150-155 on the left, about 165 on the right. I noticed I was wearing these same shorts yesterday and was like "welp I have to take a picture". I might just be overthinking stuff but I feel pretty weak lately. It's clear that while I know what to do to lose weight, I'm having trouble losing just fat. I went back to the start of my log (that first picture is from page 4) to see if there was anything specific I was doing around then, and the answer is "not really". Since it's such a herculean effort for me to put weight on in the first place, I'm going to try raising my intake a bit for awhile, eating when I want and not making any strict restrictions but not stuffing myself. I'd also like to tighten up my workouts, because it seems like volume is not the most conducive thing at the moment. I'll probably structure them similarly, but cut down on the number of sets to focus on making them higher quality. Friday was pretty solid. Usually I just work out in my work clothes because I'm just off my shift and about to go home and clean everything up anyway, but I brought a beater with me to embrace my inner white trash while I lifted. This turned out to be A Good Idea because it meant I had maximum shoulder and arm exposure when a super hot friend of mine stopped by the gym to say hi. She had her boyfriend with her whom I hadn't met before and even before introducing us she stopped in her tracks and was like "wow, you look awesome". It was clear he did not lift, come on bro. After I finished my workout I helped my sister move, then spent over a hundred dollars at the liquor store to stock for the party, then crushed some Chipotle with dance girl. We ended up having about 20 people over and I drank entirely too much but had a really good time. Unfortunately Vomax's car got towed because he parked in the lot I thought since he'd been over a few times he knew to park on the street, but the lesson is learned. Sorry buddy! I'll put up a couple pictures soon.Saturday was completely lazy recovery day. Gatorade, water, sleep. Sunday was a nice family brunch and some stuff done around the house. Pretty solid weekend, saw Iron Man 3 on Friday and it was enjoyable if a little long. Lazy day Saturday, ran around a lot on Sunday - afternoon hangout at a friend's place, client, dance performance at dance girl's studio, and then a brief stop by a friend's band playing in Columbia Heights before coming home and crashing hard. This week will be pretty nuts, and I will be happy when it's over and I can relax.

I tried out your chicken recipe from back in april today, from memory, it ended up as sort of a bastardized version but that's sort of in the spirit of winging it, right? It turned pretty good but the coconut flour/chili powder mix ended up a bit flour-y even after cooking and it needed more chili for sure.
