I missed the updates in the protein thread(s) about FitnessPro being concentrated garbage, which may explain my ridiculously long plateau that I've been chalking up to surgery recovery and the occasional sickness. I got in touch with DPS Fitness and even though I've opened the container they're willing to credit me back, really nice of them. Now that I have money again (sort of!) I'm just going to run back into ON's open arms. Finally got the washing machine fixed, so that's good. Had an amazing dinner with MatCauthon last night and totally forgot to get a picture for the internet, but he's every bit as dreamy as everyone thinks he is. Just bought a Groupon for like ... $130 worth of meat for about $60, so I'm really really excited about that.

Last night, we went to this place called Jack Rose. It's delicious. Actually, we met another goon there once, in February? I'unno but point is, amazing food, even better drinks. An okay wine selection. It's okay because they don't have Prosecco. But, two of its walls are up-to-the-ceiling stacked with scotch/whiskey/whisky/bourbon. Apparently they have a good roof-top bar BUT anyway. I had the scallops. I don't even know what the others had because I was too busy demolishing my plate and then some of Buz's. Then we had this amazing muffin ice cream chocolate... thing. I don't know, but all that matters is that it was amazing. So, yeah, the food was made even better by the awesome company. He (Mat) actually made me think about going to Texas which is saying something. Topics discussed- International Affairs, travel, his girlfriend, games, and the ever obligatory Righty (RIP). Had to drop about $700 on my car for it to pass inspection and still have a considerable amount of medical bills to go, but I am so bored and listless that I'm just gonna step up my poo poo and start getting fat next week. I post my rough game plan for critique and comments: Monday - Shoulders/Arms BB press DB press Lat raise Shrug Tricep stuff - some combo of reverse grip bench, close grip bench, skullcrushers, whatever Bicep stuff - some combo of DB/BB/concentration/hammer/body drag curls (Shrugs and whatever will probably tax my grip sufficiently for today) Tuesday - Legs Squat Leg extension SL DL/GHR Leg curl Standing calf raise Seated calf raise (Probably towel pull ups for grip) Wednesday - nothing or farmer's walks Thursday - Chest/Tri Flat bench Incline bench Fly/pec deck Dips Cable cross Tricep stuff - tricep dips, ladder, extensions, pushdown, whatever (Probably like plate pinches for grip/forearms) Friday - Back/Bi DLs Cable row Pull up Seated row Wide grip pulldown 1 arm bent row Bicep stuff - whatever combo of curls (Wrist flexion/extension for forearms) The first move of every day will ramp up sets of 5 adding 15-30 lbs every set til I can't finish 5 reps and then everything else will basically just be "do whatever" with some RP sets and forced negatives (at the end of course) for good measure. Abs I guess Tuesday and Friday? Sure. Food plan is to pound cereal and a shake upon waking, pack some homemade tzatziki veggies and chicken for midmorning, ANPB sammich and fruit around noon, shake before workout, BCAA/dextrose and shake after workout, whatever for dinner (lean meat veggies and probably a bunch of carbs), then a handful of eggs/cheese/peppers and another shake close to bed. I'll do measurements and formally toxx myself Sunday evening/Monday morning.

When I start there'll be about 27 weeks left in the year, so I'm going to go ahead and shoot for a little over a pound a week and say I'd like to be at least 185 by January. I'm hovering around 153-155 right now.

Okay so Dross gets a head start. MRE posted about this in her log but here's what's going down. We got hit pretty hard Friday night and lost power around 11 PM. It's been pretty widespread, and Saturday I couldn't really get ahold of anyone. Little by little it seems like stuff's coming back up, but my neighborhood is a little island of forced Luddism. We're at the library right now because it's cool in here and there are Spider-Man comics and gently caress reality, that's why. So glad it's open on Sunday. The fridge smells utterly rank and you can't even go into the kitchen without taking a big deep breath and holding it first. Tomorrow morning's trash pickup is going to be fun. I haven't heard from my boss yet but I'm going to head out to work tomorrow morning regardless in the blind optimistic hope that it has power, and hey maybe I can take a hot shower! Anyway love you guys, will eat a food when we can refrigerate stuff again but will lift a weight tomorrow no matter what.

I dislike Texas heat, but I'll take it over mid-Atlantic hurricane season any day of the week.

My biceps especially were sore as all gently caress on Tuesday/Wednesday. I need a new afternoon employee with certification like woah, as the summer personal training special is getting way way too much traffic and the schedule is filling up rapidly. Tuesday was a little frenetic what with traffic for the 4th and the power FINALLY coming back on, and my mom broke her arm at the shoulder so we weren't able to get out there for the holiday. Wednesday we actually got to chill a little since home was air conditioned again and I had to restock the fridge. MRE and I took a nice walk, had big-rear end margaritas and watched fireworks on the walk home. Yesterday was pretty sweet, I was pumped for chest day. Benches were okay, my right elbow feels a little funky but I got some good reps out. Thinking I might do incline bench on the smith machine (boo) because the next dumbbells the gym has are 75s and that's a big step up for right now. Pec deck was glorious as I remembered, that squeeze at the end of the rep is magical. By the time I got to the dips and cable cross I was a woobily mess, and during the whole tricep ladder I was mentally focused on not collapsing face-first into the bar. In other words, A Good Workout, my brothers. Edit: Oh yeah still haven't done formal toxx yet, but I will soon, just a little more poo poo needs to calm down and then I can focus hardcore. Official Toxx: 180 lbs by January 1 2013, and the informal toxx is my race with Dross to 190 (and he'll probably crush me but it'll be fun). I'm starting at 156 now, so it shouldn't be terrible. MRE did my measurements Saturday night - Neck: 15" Chest w/ Shoulders: 45.5" Chest: 36.25" Waist: 32" Hips: 36.5" Quad: 20.75" Bicep: 12" Bicep Flexed: 13.875" So we'll see how those bad boys progress. I felt like I wasn't able to focus as well on my lats later on since I was a little gassed overall. Pleasant weekend, work and straightening up the place. Made some awesome ground lamb-falafel-homemade tzatziki Friday night and then a bunch of crock pot chicken Sunday, burned the everliving poo poo out of my fingers picking up a hot bowl yesterday. Last night was weird, I had a nightmare or something and woke up at like 1 AM with this really horrific sense of impending doom. I don't know how to describe it, but the room just felt ominous. I ended up sleeping on the couch and it felt a lot better, but goddamn, what is with that?
