^^ Ken Jennings is hilarious. So, I started up a twitter account to tweet mostly ridiculous stuff. I currently have all of one follower, my girlfriend, but it's only been 2 days. I don't know if this is the proper place to post it, but if anyone wants to check out my idiocy and improper use of hashtags, the user name is @sorta_like_art. Keep in mind I know next to nothing about any of the subtleties of twitter.

I didn't "get" twitter until Twitter Tuesdays. After I started following @fart and everyone he follows my life is a million times better. I was seriously one of those dummies that thought twitter was for talking about picking up toilet paper on your way home from work and now I want to yell at everyone who says that.

Well twitter is still used mainly like the facebook status feed for most isn't it? I was just wondering what insight you had to how it is better than what you use to think it was. Because, besides people like @fart and the twitter where the flash is a dick and other stuff like that, its still people broadcasting what boring thing they are doing isn't it? Your post makes me think you have some insight beyond that.

Facebook is better for having a slower, intermittent conversation with people I know personally. I don't really think of twitter as broadcasting whatever dumb thing you're doing at the moment anymore. You can certainly use it for that, whatever, but to me it's an endless stream of jokes that I find really funny and also just a means of talking to people that I know or maybe don't know. If you have an interesting or funny thought, just tweet it.

I think Twitter Tuesdays is up there with Fashion SWAT as one of my favourite SA series. I enjoy the brief windows into some strange, otherworld version of normality
