The game wouldn't launch me into a mission and when I alt tabbed to figure out if that was a common thing it wouldn't remaximize. Might try again in a little bit as what I did see seemed pretty fun.

Bring up your inventory at one of the vending machines and then go to the 'character' tab. Whenever you kill someone, they hear your song.

I've decided after doing it for one person that I'll be generous and do it for a couple other newbies. If you're just starting out and want a tiny leg up in cash, place any item on the marketplace for 10k (no more than that, please) and send an in-game mail message to NicholasAngel. I will buy your item and you should get 8k out of it, enough to pay for a few weapon leases and ammo, or new clothes. Joker East only. Downloaded it, installed it and tried playing it until I gave up after the dozen or so Punkbuster kicks I kept getting for "failing to upgrade Punkbuster". I used a fix from earlier in the thread and it still didn't take. I might install again in the future if anybody has any ideas. It sucks too because it seems like it could be a fun game

Welp, looks like APB just hates my video card (8800 GTS). I was playing at 1024/768 last night with EVERY graphical option set as low as possible/turned off, and I still got some hefty unplayable framerate stuttering periodically. Installed this and got through the tutorial fine, but after 2 or 3 minutes in the waterfront or financial districts I CTD with an Uncaught C++ error. Basic googling hasn't brought up any solutions.

Just downloaded this and trying to patch the game but apparently the patch server is offline... is this something that other people are getting, or do I need to fiddle with my firewall or whatever?

How's the game compared to the initial release? Cars still drive weird, constant balance whining, and impossible-to-assail camp locations like that weird area on top of the warehouse where you could shoot the barrel step away so no one could get up?

Better (turned out there was a delay on wheels turning, wasn't instant), much better (all weapons are viable), gone.

Sonofabitch! I went and fixed the PunkBuster thing, and when I tried it out the same thing happened to me. They said I couldn't play without the latest patch, then Steam said the game was "unavailable" so I uninstalled it again. Oh well, guess I'll be playing free Killing Floor in the meantime.
