The PMG used to have better recoil control and less accuracy bloom. However, that made it a death laser, so they nerfed it into the ground (its current state).

The boxes are just a ploy to get idiots to buy tons of them with the hopes of getting the rare items, only to get extraordinarily butthurt when they eventually get released on armas* for less than they paid in joker boxes. *That they then buy anyways if they didn't manage to get them in the 100 boxes they opened.
