My enforcer is in a clan for a different forum.. But they're never on and also you guys are cool, so I'm thinking of quitting it and joining Something Lawful instead. I think I'll keep the other clan's ~official uniform~ for shits and giggles.

Do you guys reckon ability to aim is tied (partially) to framerate? If so I may notice a slight increase in my apparent skill soon~ Either way, being able to play at more than 28fps on minimum settings will be nice!

I recently won 500 G1 credits in a competition... Thinking of trying out a 30 day armas weapon. What one do you think I should go for? I'm thinking of the HVR scout. I used the whisper before, but now I have a 2-slot OCA which I much prefer, and I used a CSG and scoped n-tec via promotions. So I guess that leaves the scout or the special STAR... Might try the CSG PR1 though, because the PR2 was the promotional one, and I couldn't stand the reload times...

While testing out the HVR Scout I got in a 1v1 with a gold (and it wouldn't let me call backup. I'm only silver  ). In the end it was a CQC situation and I swapped to a shotgun and kicked his butt good. I think he was using a joker or something. Kept yelling "shotgun noob!" over mic. Because only noobs can kill a gold player I guess? Skilled players never defeat golds.According to people yelling in district, 'noobs' are people who use jokers, shotguns and OCAs. Strangely, never ever heard anyone be called a STAR noob, which is weird. Regardless of whether someone is kicking arse or sucking with a STAR.. Maybe they changed the meaning of the term? It is pretty funny how mad some people get at this game. It's just a game...

Looking at the unused mods on the apb db website, and it appears there's a car surfer mod, but the creator is Armas Underground. All the other ones are Reloaded Productions. Looks like they're gonna force us to buy car surfer Also this happened to me today At first my ego approved of this, then my mind woke up and said "Wait a minute, I hate fighting against golds!" and so I found a newbie and adopted him as my own, and played with him for hours and hours. I think I'm safely back in the silver for now! Edit: Apparently the next live patch is on tuesday. I hope it's got new features as well as just bug fixes and whatnot!

I wonder if with the car surfer mod people will still be able to deploy an ammo thing.. or better yet, if they stand on the back of a car with MSU... Actually you can't use MSU while the car is moving so that wouldn't be an option. Otherwise someone would just get infinite rockets. Personally I wanna get a car surf mod so I can ride in the back of pickup trucks with an ALIG.

That's kind of like asking if bacon is better than ice cream. I mean, they do very different things. reflex sight makes you more accurate, cooling jacket makes you shoot faster but less accurate. What you really want is one of each on the gun, that turns it into a surprise sex train. But if you can only get a 1-slot gun at the moment, I'd say try both and stick with whatever you prefer. That way when you unlock the 2-slot you'll already own both mods and can put them on. When you get rich but level 3 mods from the marketplace too.

Eek... Maybe i should stop using the TS3 overlay  Also yes, all the guns are 10-day limited except the STAR and snub-nose (the default guns). You can fork out HEFTY sums of real life cash to buy permanent guns, but it's really really not worth it.

One of my favourite ALIG tactics is to ram someone else's car into a corner with mine, hop out and shoot whichever car is weaker/more damaged, promptly killing myself and my enemy in a hilarious fashion. I also LOVE the long range preassure it has. With heavy barrel 2 I can basically full auto at 75m and get kills if anyone is stupid enough to remain exposed. My ALIG tactics = equip kevlar, when enemy sighted (in car or out), crouch and M1 til something/everything explodes and/or dies.

I laugh when I get griefed if it's not boring (ie. getting pinned in = boring, getting send flying by a dump truck = hilarious). Also sometimes I enjoy being killed by an osmaw. There's just something so entertaining about the fwwaaaaaaahhhhBOOM sound it makes. Also at first I thought the new threat thing sounded like a horrible idea, and now I know it is... but for different reasons than I first thought. This kind of stuff is just fun. I've never got SIX medals at the exact same time before. I hit notoriety 5 too. My god, this new system is so fun to exploit. Even if you only get 50% rewards if you're gold in a bronze district, it's worth it for the fun value. And you make a decent amount of cash and standing due to the k/d ratio... I now really like this change.

It's a loving rocket, not a bucket of hot water. It should kill with at LEAST a 3-5m explosion radius. I hear it used to be 10m, which is nuts, but talk about an over-nerf! Either that or at least make it take less time to switch to the drat thing. 3 seconds is kind of excessive.
