Anoxia, the problem is not the cantaloupe, it is the shot of the main area of interest that is out of focus while your hands are sharp.
This goes for many other pictures in this here thread and you can see the huge difference it makes when you put up a well focused shot vs a blurry one. Some people have drawn many times not (only) because they have an interesting expression even thought that helps, but because the picture is sharp and you can actually see something. Imagine that you have an out of focus shot and you will have to look at it for about 15 minutes or more, depending on your drawing speed. Looking at something that is out of focus confuses the hell out of my eyes, they keep trying to focus in but they cannot and this gives me a headache if done to long.

So here is a small how-to-get-drawn-more:
- Focus. Just make sure that the main area of interest (aka, your face and surrounding) has sharp edges.
- Absolute Size. A bigger picture is better then a smaller one, most computers are not pussies and can handle it, use timg tags of you break tables.
- Relative size. You want your face drawn? Make sure there is plenty of face to be seen. You want a full body thing? Get your body in the picture. Don't be stupid, you know what I mean.
- General interesting. Facial expression, props, pets, situation, all are good and help you out here.
- The top of your head. This must be my personal thing, but look at the pictures, so many people have no head higher then their hairline on their forehead for some reason. Ignore this one, I am being an rear end here.
- Lighting. Back lighting hurts my eyes and darkens your face a lot making it harder to draw. Feel free to ignore this pussy argument as well, challenges can be a good thing.

Some people I would like to see repost a bigger, more focused or differently positioned picture:
Anoxia the cantaloupe lady, because focus.
Thesaya the pirate woman, do you have one where we have a better picture of your face? Please with patch and that shirt. Also, is that Amsterdam?
PresidentCamacho can you do that face again without the backlight? Would like to give it a shot.

I feel like an idiot for trying to tell GBS how to behave, but the best that can happen is that I have better pictures to practice my mediocre skills on. Bjorns second picture is a fine example of something that will get him drawn: facial expression, prop, all parts of the face present, neckbeard, reasonable lighting.

Definitely a fun one to draw. I apologize in advance for all of these quick sketches. I just wanted to get them done and out of the door. That being said you have every right to say that my pictures suck.
