You have to resend them, but don't worry about sending duplicates to people. They'll just get a message that says "You received a note you already have, it has been deleted."

The more notes you send the more things you unlock. One of the final things you unlock is the abbility to use play coins to buy different stationary.

This is getting really dumb. I just sat here for an hour checking for new letters (and boy, were there new letters). Nintendo, why? Why does it take 5 minutes to check for 20 notes, that were maybe downloaded through spotpass already? Why can I only get so many at a time? Maybe this wasn't designed to be used like this...

And this is with only 50 active people on my friends list, I can't imagine it with 100

No, on some pictures there's an animated speech bubble. When it finishes loading there's a button you can click to hear the message.

I also have about thirty people I'd registered, but haven't yet reciprocated.

I imagine it's because a lot of the early adopters (the people at the top of the list) have already filled their quota of 100 friends and can't add anymore even if they wanted. (At least I'd like to think so.)

People should keep adding the Friend Codes. I'll keep adding new people and drop non-responders from the oldest first until I hit my quota.
