But I can't always remember to hit the Exit!! I wish they had something like a session window, so you could make a shortcut and have all your work / fun tabs pop up in their own window.
You could try using ctrl+shift+q instead I suppose. Or the extension linked above.

I think you can do that without an extension? Settings -> Under the Hood -> Content Settings... and then you can "Block sites from setting any data and "Manage Exceptions..."

Although I don't manage cookies like that so I don't know if that's good enough.
Yeah, you can set the primary rule to either don't allow cookies at all or allow them to be kept until you close your browser. Then you can add exceptions for each site you want to be able to set cookies and also set how those cookies will be stored (block, allow for session or allow).

I think it's pretty decent.

I'll second this. Chrome's cookie handling is pretty lovely. No option to whitelist certain sites and "allow for session" the rest. As far as I can tell anyway.
Yes there is. You just set cookies to "allow for session" and then you add exceptions to whatever sites you want. When you set an exception, you can set either "allow", "only for session" or "block".

It's what I use, and I find that it works just fine for what I need.

Just had to uninstall Adblock on my Canary install @ work, was sorely slowing down my browsing and may have been the problem behind the forums periodically not loading and me needing to refresh. Anyone else seeing that problem?
Adblock or adblock plus? I've heard of similar issues with the former, and the latter is supposed to be much better (using it myself with no issues regarding performance).

Say, what is the security situation for saved passwords and stuff on Chrome? I don't use it right now, I use a password vault program, but I really have no idea if it is more secure in any practical sense.
On linux it uses kwallet or gnome-keyring where it can by default since version 14 or so. That means locally saved passwords are encrypted in a separate storage. No idea what it does on other systems.

Can anyone comment on Chromium? What benefits it has over Chrome?
Wikipedia has a pretty solid list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chromi...m_Google_Chrome

But in short, there's no built-in flash plugin, no built in PDF reader and chromium is available in most software repositories from start while chrome needs to be manually installed, either through 3rd party repositories or by fetching the package file from their download page.
