Are there any good books on New Zealand/Maori history, or the history of other Pacific cultures? I'll take anything, as broad or specific as you like, doesn't matter!

Also Rome and Greece and everything around it. Don't care about a particular person or era. I just love reading little factoids about them.
Soldiers and Ghosts by JE Lendon is an excellent overview of Greek and Roman military practices and the surrounding social structures and attitudes. It's probably one of the best and most accessible books on Greek/Roman history.

Are there any good Tibetan history books? Most of the books I'm finding are (as expected) rich white man travelogues and sinophobic romanticism/spiritualism.

edit: I see Tibet: A History, but from Amazon reviews it sounds like the ebook version has [see print edition] in the place of any images.
