Angry captain guy (but only in panel 7) is the first character I've seen in this poo poo that doesn't look like the same deformed animustyle Japanese teenager wearing different wigs. If DD from here on out was just him angrily crashing his airship into every other character's face, I'd unironically love it.

I was thinking that too, and I think it's mostly because he has an actual nose rather than a tiny sideways anime v thing, and actual defined eyes rather than two horizontal lines with a dot between them. Mookie was trying to make a face contorted by uncontrollable rage and wound up accidentally drawing the most realistic human face he's ever made.

That airship has been drawn from at least 3 different perspectives. The front looks flat on but we can see the back on an angle, and yet the middle... How do you draw that and think it's at all acceptable? A loving first grader draws things like that.

I need to ask, does this comic actually have a fan following? I heard of CAD and it's general terribleness long before I knew it was being mocked forever here, but this is the first I've ever heard mention of Dominic Deegan. With one exception--TVTropes. There, I figured it was probably just one weirdo sperging off on it. Or possibly the writer himself. Who the hell really gets into this?

Farmer Crack-rear end posted:Did Stunt actually look just like Greg in the past, or is this a continuation of Mookie's increasing laziness? I'm pretty sure Stunt had short hair before. Most likely Mookie either decided that every character needs to have long flowing locks because METAL AS gently caress or he accidentally drew him as Greg because he apparently can't pay attention to his own loving drawings long enough to notice that he's forgotten to include peoples limbs, and just rolled with it.

There are four main types of hair for main characters in the Deegan-verse and they all represent the archetypes Terracciano uses. Short blonde hair for young kids and women, short dark hair for people who are badass, long blond hair for people who love metal or are trying to express their individuality and long dark hair for people who are evil, committed some kind of crime, or are just extremely badass in general. Characters that have short blond hair are all free spirited but have something in the past that's holding them back and don't generally give a gently caress unless whatever's in their tragic past is brought up. (Luna's always a wreck because she's around Dominic, when she was with the orcs she was just fine until he came back and she broke down in tears; Stunt never gives a poo poo about anything but it fazed him when he had that memory of killing his mother; pre-loss-of-magic Greg's entire character was literally a child trying to come to grips with his brother "betraying" the family) Characters that have short dark hair have the power to be badass whenever it's required and usually have the arc focus around them when they appear. Since Dominic is loving everywhere it's usually him, but sometimes we get Celesto and they battle over who gets the spotlight. Most villains have either this or long black hair. Anyone with this hair is a "major threat" but fall victim to the Deegan Rule, they can tap into the power of plot to do anything they want so long as it does not directly injure a Deegan. Dominic, being a Deegan, is immune to this rule which is why any time he's in danger we have gently caress YOU SEE THE TRUTH, as well as him never being in serious danger at any time. Long white or blonde hair, whatever color it's supposed to be, is the growth of a character that previously had short white hair. The character has found a way to move past and heal from whatever has been plaguing them and is now free in body and soul. They often gain a fondness for metal and orc rap. Anyone who has this hair is basically acting like a rock star; an adult in body with the playfulness of his inner child but the maturity to know when to be serious. Long dark hair is the stain of evil. Every character who has longer hair that isn't pure white has done something evil, and the darker the hair the more evil they are. Pamela committed the crime of spurning a Deegan, Jayden cheated, their hair is dark. Siegfried is the ultimate superjock, his hair is jet black. Karnak is the exception with white hair, but hell's finest kettle could never be evil. I had a Dominic Deegan dream last night. Jayden was trying to convince this large gathering of priests about some prophecy while Rillian was on the roof peeking in a window like a voyeur. Anyway while talking she suddenly tore off her dress to reveal she was really three little Kirbylike Jaydens standing on each other's shoulders. After that the flesh on the face of the top Jayden started to melt and run, the droplets forming little tiny Jaydens maybe six inches high that swarmed up the Luanian pope and melted on her forming this cocoon. And then I woke up, any dream analysts handy?

My brother and I were trapped in a featureless white void. We knew we didn't belong there and we need to get out. Eventually we found a person with spiky hair. "Look!" my brother shouted. "There's a Deegan! They are the gods of this land and can help us!" "No!" I tried to warn him, "You're not a Deegan!" I was trying to tell him that he'd be at the mercy of whatever moral lesson or thinly-veiled payback for some real life slight lies in store for anyone who isn't a member of the Cabal of Deegans, but I was too late. The Deegan pulled some magic out of his rear end and turned my brother into a mindless, fawning subservient, regretful for any lack of Deeganness he had exhibited in his life and knowing only that to look up to and praise the Deegan is everything.

Midway through the fourth Facebath arc, without warning, Greg is going to be killed by an airship piloted directly at him at a high velocity. The last thing he'll hear before being reduced to a stain on the landscape is 'I loving WARNED YOU'. Five hundred miles away Stunt will get a strange chill up his spine.
