The vehicle needs to have a teammate inside to get repair points. Stick to a chopper and repair the skids/gun to the side, or sit behind a tank or repair the Amtrak during a rush round.

My other character looks up to date, though  edit: what has two thumbs and got credit for a tank kill with a grenade? This guy  (lit off opponents' mines when the tank was driving over)

Yep Rush is where it's at if you are looking for high-kill potential games, I posted a battlelog a little while ago that was like 80+ plus kills on Canals, and I think my highest is 103 but I can't remember for sure. You can find videos on youtube of guys going 125+ though. I do get a lot of messages after high scoring games like that from people asking me what I did and I don't really know how to respond; I fly the heli around the map killing dudes I guess? I mean usually at the start I fly left past the shipping crates, and neutralize the enemy AA tank from his blind spot since that is my only real opposition. Then I just go to town on the enemy team while trying to remember how long it will be before the tank spawns again, blow it up and rinse, repeat etc. I'm pretty terrible at explaining strategy and tactics, which is why I was interested in trying to capture a few runs but I don't think that will be possible since my PVR blows. I responded to the guy who messaged me after that game and basically told him my control scheme (default button/legacy stick) and to just practice getting a feel for how the chopper controls, and to get used to the fine details of the map. Spacial awareness is key, and knowing where trees and lamp posts are is the first step to not smashing into them. Canals is one of my favorite conquest maps so I suppose I should try it in rush once, I just can't stand defending in rush as it feels like it forces you to camp. I wish rush had objectives for both side to arm or something. I'm happy to play attacker when I have a few competent pubbies on my team, but as a defender I just feel like I want to murder every pot shotting sniper on my team I see. I mean literally, these kids are so bad who snipe while defending in rush; I walk up to them with a heavy LMG between their pew-pew pot shots and just blow them by hip firing it at them. I always teabag them hoping for hate mail  Yeah, I also suck at helicoptering. The highest kills I've had in a match of conquest is like 40. In squad deathmatch, I once got 43 kills. Honestly the scariest people to play against are the ones that are good at a vehicle. Though I'd take someone who is good with the scout helicopters over someone who is good with the attack helicopters because you tend to get better options to deal with scout helicopters. I would certainly agree that Rush is better for killing dudes because they're funneled into you. There's just the one area that people want to be, so you always know where to look. Conquest is more fluid. Everyone is everywhere. Or nowhere, if it's a big map. The attack helicopters and jets can't really rack up kills in Conquest because there's just not much anything to kill.

I'm finding that playing support and running a bipod is a million times better than the grip. It forces you to pick an advantageous position, either in cover or prone somewhere, and the accuracy on the MG36 bipoded is unbelievable. Also, because you have so many bullets and when they sprint around the corner they have to pull their gun up, you always get those first few shots, and don't have to worry about reloading before the guy behind him gets it. In Seine Crossing, just sit at the bottom of the stairs or at the end of a corridor, and light them up. Speaking of which, Slayer found an excellent way to spawncamp the enemy on Seine, by sitting there with an ammo box and throwing grenades into the spawn, he was undetectable and unstoppable, and because you can throw just as far while prone, he actually could not be hit by return fire from either the bridge or their spawn, while he could lob grenades like a mortar. In rush this strategy is really effective because although the pubs love to camp, they don't do it effectively and don't really defend. I've found picking somewhere inconspicuous facing the M-COM and firing away, on hardcore at least, makes you an undetectable wizard, shooting super accurate bullets at someone that dies before they can turn around.

Eh, I found it kind of awkward for a while, but I can get through it pretty quickly now. I just have to remind myself to stay away from the X button so I can look back through my spawn options again. I just "B" my way out of the menu.

TDM because everyone camps. For the LMGs because they don't really work that well up close so if i see an enemy at a distance the PK-A helps with that, and if they get close ADS would be useless with this thing so I'm best off just hip firing like mad.

PK-A's the russian 3.4x, right? I love that little guy because it's only slightly less zoom than the 4x and WAY faster to bring up, and without the crazy loving lines all over the American 3.4 (M134 or something like that?) It's pretty much PK-A on my rifles and LMGs, RDS on my carbines and whatever I feel like on my snipers. I don't think I've ADS with a shotgun in the last like 200 hours so I leave those naked.

I really wish they included a tutorial or something for the helicopters. Watching a teammate grab the little bird at the start of Canals and proceed to nose dive it into the water was foreshadowing our loss. And in typical pubbie fashion. He kept doing it until I grabbed a hold of it. Thats when he kept trying to hit me with RPGs.
