Pretty sure they are solely there to force people to use kit and do things they otherwise wouldn't bother with.

So I started getting back into this game and didn't feel like spending the time to download the expansion the other night. Playing on a non-DLC server is ridiculously easy. Also, I think that mortar glitch is BS. I've tried it a few times and never gotten a kill.

Works especially well when there is either a cardboard box next to the MCOM to hide in (Go ahead. Make the reference), or a partially destroyed wall behind it. They can be armed / disarmed from behind, and from prone position. Confuses dumb shits. But then I've trundled the EOD over to an MCOM in plain sight of enemies in the same room and armed it. I don't think I have a robo-invisibility perk.

On Canals I managed to jump from one of the train bridges between C and A down onto a moving vodnik (I couldn't stay on top unfortunately), lay C4 and then blow it as it drove away. I felt like a bad rear end until I saw that dude's videos. It's some pretty great stuff. I never seem to be able to sneak up on people the way he does though but that's more due to me being a moving target more than a credit to the kids I'm playing against. I do love how often you can push someone aiming down sights with a MAV or EOD bot only to have them calmly return to where they were with no concern for their surroundings. Start collecting your teams vehicles and leave them near that spot on Canals. Wait for enemies to try to steal them, and empty the enemy team for a quick advantage. Also, DELETED showed me a neat trick for hardcore MAV bowling. If you get locked by a Javelin, simply wait by an enemy, and wait for the Javelin to miss and hit him, resulting in a teamkill for the enemy and a pissed off teamkillee. If you can get a guy to do it a bunch, you can get him kicked, or hell, you could destroy a tank. Also, you can join in on a tank battle by sitting on the enemy tank's CITV. Your team can lock past you but their's can't. So you can break locks, defend MCOMs, kill enemies, explode helicopters, detonate explosives and beacons, and push enemies out of cover, all from the comfort of your spawn. Speaking of which I got a party invite from a guy, and expecting him to be frothing with rage, I joined. I felt like I stepped into the Twilight Zone. He didn't yell, he simply asked me if I was going to stop, because he didn't want to play in a game with the MAV flying around. He said we had different playstyles, and he wasn't angry or anything he just wanted to know so he could decide whether to leave or not. I wanted to see if he was a goon, so I checked the friends list and it said Mrswirl. What kind of coincidence is that? A good, smart, well-spoke, calm pubbie, with a friend that has a similar name to a goon.

Like the leg off his plastic work table is an RPG, the plastic triangle from one of those bolt together kit things is an SMG, The stand from his old mobile seems to be some kind of shotgun, things with holes like a CD case or the handle on the plastic shovel are sights, and odd shaped things like the holes through the cabin in his wooden train seem to be like a tank cab. Now whenever I play a game of Metro or Seine (or maybe even Bazaar) CQ, I feel a little wrong for not be a shotgunning recon. Of course, all I've got left to star now is sidearms, so maybe I should pick shotguns back up and get more sidearm kills to compliment them... I just love running around and shotgunning dudes in the butt, what can I say? I think I got like 49 kills with the Saiga alone in a game of Metro (where B was hotly contested and I was able to sneak up the back escalators a bunch). poo poo, I accidentally got the DAO-12 to 125 kills because happened and there was no visual for what I was unlocking so I had no idea I starred the thing on a reeeeally good game of Seine.I think I really only busted out frag rounds on the M26 MASS (more like the MISS am I right, gently caress console aiming sometimes) on a particular game of Metro where everyone was whoring frag USAS-12s or FAMASes and I couldn't get close (nor could I flank, cause our team had only A... that game sucked). Oh well, that thing's starred too, now I can pick my Fist of God back up. If only that were tracked separately...
