In all seriousness: The game is always fun. Rush, or Conquest, it doesn't matter. I always have fun winning, but I seem to enjoy my loses a lot of the time too. I think we all find great pleasure in this game, and agree that SQDM is the shittiest game mode.

I played hardcore Rush on Grand Bazaar last night and sweet mother of god, that mode is unforgiving - especially on that map. We didn't get by the first point. Played a few more rounds and as people have said, driving the Amtrak right next to the MCOM seems to be the best strategy. I was delighted to return to conquest with muckwirl and co.

The gamemode I play really depends on my mood. I play Rush when I want a quicker paced game but don't quite want to play CoD. I love being able to mow down a ton of people blindly rushing the MCOM. I'll play Conquest when I want a little slower of an experience or harassing the hell out of enemy vehicles. Grand Bazaar is also the map I dislike the most in this game so far. Haven't had much time with the Back to Karkand maps to see how much they've changed.

gently caress Tehran highway, coming up pretty much 50% of the time when quick matching a game. I barely see Metro or Seine anymore and they are a welcome break from the boredom of Caspian border and Firestorm.

TBH, my least favorite maps are Firestorm, Tehran highway and Damavand peak. Firestorm is just super duper boring. Nothing happens ever and the capture areas are gigantic so they lead to people just hiding in dark rooms or rooftops of factories or on impossible to find areas of the the oil refinery. There are also obscene sightlines so you useless wookies will snipe from A<->C. Tehran highway and Demavand peak tend to just be the most prone to spawn camping. And thats boring as hell. There just isn't enough path from the spawn to get anywhere due to the lovely linear nature of the peak, and tehran most of your teammates will start being useless wookies. However, all the maps have problems. Caspian and Kharg while big and leading to the driving between flag syndrome at least have interesting terrain and have areas for designated open and close field battles. Kharg is better, but the maps are still a little too big and all feature a flag too far. If you have a good havok/viper pilot they can ruin your day as no one bothers dealing with helis. That includes the two mongoloids on your team flying jets in circles. Seine and grand bazaar are meat grinders but they have enough room to allow you to flank and they have vehicles. They can be good but C on Seine is usually the position I give up on as a few supports with claymores and lmgs/frag round usas's can hold the goddamn position and there is little you can do about it. B is similar on GB but at least I can drive the LAV up there and murder them. Seine gets the distinct pleasure of having the shittiest loving spawns in any video game. Spawning on any of the flags means you will most likely spawn in front of an enemy ready to kill you. Sometimes you get lucky and you spawn behind a guy and get a ton of kills but very rarely. I've gone like 14-1 and then gotten huge deathstreaks because of the awful spawns. Oh and because the map is as tiny as a postage stamp people can mortar the whole goddamn field. And metro, well metro can possible be the most fun map in the game. Its all close quarter battles, and it really is one of the few maps where good flanking+pubbies lack of situational awareness=mega kill streaks. Nothing makes me prouder than getting a C4 multikill. Or when I run down the back escalator and murder all the idiots hiding behind the elevator column. Unfortunately, if your team sucks and gets steamrolled its the worse. Frag rounds and tons of explosive make this map unplayable. Nothing is less fun than spawning on an ally and dying instantly. Canals is probably my favorite map in the game with the asymmetric assets and actually well designed terrain. This map reminds me most of BC2. It's just good. However, if you are playing the US and your team sucks and gets its little birds stolen you will be spawn camped to the stone age. Not to mention its easy peasy for a recon to set up a soflam that aims at the carrier and can lock on to ALL assets. I think this can somewhat be resolved if they gave the US an AA gun.

Yeah, I had a feeling it might have been a weaker rush map. With only two paths to the first B MCOM is incredibly difficult to advance on hardcore. Hardcore conquest is great fun, I'm just not sure about hardcore rush. Might try regular rush tonight.

Just finished my 5 SQDM rounds. Ok, I will admit I got lucky and got dropped into an awesome squad, winning 5 straight in a row. But I had a lot of fun! It's been a while since I played Deathmatch and there's something fun about just capping any and every dude you see. Granted the "one vehicle spawn" can make or break a round, but depending on the map the vehicle sometimes doesn't really come into play. On our last match we were somehow down 47-40 and all of a sudden the screen goes white and we won. Each of us must have killed 2-3 guys in that last 30 seconds which is amazing.

I played SQDM for maybe 3 rounds and to quote WTF D&D: I would rather chug the juices funeral homes drain out of bodies, than ever play that again. Eventually I'll get desperate for that last gun and try to grind it out with pubbies though.
