The kill or 2 they get is nothing compared to the kills they can get when they have both party buses or an extra tank. Abandoning friendly vehicles means you deserve to get AIDS from a bus seat. I'd say the only caveat to this is when you are still in your spawn area or whatever, like when playing rush on operation fuckaround or something, and the enemy tank is shooting you from a long distance, and they can't get close enough to your tank to steal it. Hop out and repair that thing while they keep shooting it. It actually tends to be a really good distraction while your teammates go around the enemy tank/c4 it/whatever else.

If you know there's a pubby drilling you sometimes it's expedient to hop out and shoot him because he won't notice his target is empty. If you're an engineer you can just ready another rocket to kill your already-dead-anyway tank if he DOES steal it as well.

When I play by myself, I like Squad Rush as so long as you have one decent teammate (and sometimes they even will talk to you and plan and poo poo!) it is pretty easy to do well and removes the "running around with no one to shoot while jets and 'copters fly by overhead" crap that Conquest turns into. Today, I just had the worst squad ever. We were attacking on Highway and all three of the rest of them loving sat at the spawn on the hill and loving sniped the entire time. They weren't even good enough to cover me as I made my suicide runs to try and tag the mcom. After wasting 3/4 of our tickets I sat up there with them shooting smoke grenades at them until two of them quit.

Just grinded out all my co-op guns with a helpful pubbie who listened to what I had to say, so we ran through the four levels we both hadn't done yet, then did the whole "do the last level and fail to disarm the bomb" thing until we both got all our guns.

Playing on hardcore S@K CQ, our team (defending) wasnt penta-capped with minutes of the game starting. I was in the spawn menu, and saw to one non recon in our squad being a USAS-fraggot right next to the recons. I waited for him to die, and grabbed his USAS. When he respawned I tked him. This caused him to tk me until he was booted. I then spent the rest of the round shooting smoke at recons. The enemy team lost 40 tickets

The only redeeming factor for the recon kit is that you can wield shotguns and be fairly effective with it + tugs on maps like Operation Metro. I took one of the buildings from some USAS frag fags planted my tugs so I could see if they came in the entrance I wasn't guarding, and effectively denied them that building the rest of the match. We still lost though.  EDIT: Not too long after that though, I had my worst game ever, reflected by my current skill of -200. poo poo sucked man.

I'm officially done with BF3 until it's patched. I can't handle the sea of USAS frags and MAVs anymore. Just played on a server where everyone's faces were immune to bullets, everyone had either a FAMAS or USAS (except for ONE GUY with a 1014) or a MAV. After the third time narrowly escaping a USAS clown just to get roadkilled by the MAV I couldn't handle it anymore. Back into the case until the patch comes out. And since ME3 comes out tomorrow, maybe not even then.

I just started playing this again yesterday and unlocked the FAMAS right away and man, those iron sights are so bad its actually kinda funny. I felt like if someone had any lateral movement at all I was just hosed unless they were in hip firing range (and I hate using Acogs on ARs as well).

Most CE DLC never ends up on the marketplace, but that's nothing but an aesthetic item. I'm just so goddamned excited that BestBuy actually didn't gently caress up for once and actually has my order. By the way some Gamestops are doing a "digital collector's edition" where you get most (if not all, I haven't confirmed) of the digital content of the CE, so you get everything but the N7 patch and the metal box, for 10$ extra above the normal 60. Since the extra character DLC is 10$ alone (and is included in that package) it might be worth buying from a Gamestop.

Anyone else having troubles connecting to any of EA's services, including BF3 (on 360) or Battlelog? Was able to play for about 15 minutes, but started getting crazy lag spikes before completely dying out. Been able to get back on intermittently, but only for a while at a time. I seriously hope that this isn't related to the ME3 launch, or if it is, that it is resolved by Thursday when I can finally pick up ME3.
