I really like this thread and the previous thread, and it depresses me when it gets closed because the Apple nuts can't stop being faggots. Your overpriced, oversized iPod is cool. Just let us chill in this thread, k? (USER WAS BANNED FOR THIS POST)

El Duke posted:This is XDA level posting. It's post like these that are what gets the thread closed, not "Apple nuts being faggots." The fact that they weren't called out (or were called out on semantics and not for the fact that they were just truly awful posts) makes it even worse. Most people weren't even discussing iOS products, but the mere fact that someone would dare criticize the customer service policies of Asus or the general misguided attempts at making $150 "digital readers" into Android tablets must mean they're trolling Apple fans. And then we get posts like those. If I leave for a day, come back and see this thread has 200 new posts, I always assume it's an off-topic argument of some sort. Sure enough, that's what it was. I've seen 5 pages of people arguing that Flash is dead, when it's clearly not and they're just going by whatever the Apple status-quo is. It's like if we were in medieval times and the king was castrated, everyone else in the kingdom would cut their dicks off to make him not feel bad. Just because Steve Jobs couldn't work out an agreement with Adobe and became a pissy baby about it, that doesn't mean iOS users have to degrade Flash. I have an iPhone - it's great. But for daily computing, I *need* something that has expandable storage and works with every possible format. Apple doesn't serve me in that way, and my aunt just got an iPad and hates it because of what it *can't* do. The app store is also horribly neutered and unexciting - it's like if Disney was trying to filter a porn site and make it kid-friendly. Life isn't kid-friendly.

El Duke posted:the first post used the typical XDA/DROID DOES marketing reasons that an iPad sucked; it could have been a comment on a Gizmodo iPad article. The second called Apple fans "faggots." These are bad posts. I don't give a gently caress about what you should or shouldn't mention in a post. I just saw your avatar - is Apple-loving like your gimmick or something?

Codiusprime posted:No one who actually reads the thread thinks that... So the Apple trolls are in denial because: -iOS doesn't support Flash -iOS doesn't really support expansion or customization And they're trying to make it seem like Android is *wrong* because their iOS products are better and don't need Flash, or expansion, or customization. Cult-like traits. Making sense of things that don't make sense.

El Duke posted:There is an 800 pound gorilla in the tablet world that almost always has to be discussed in one way or another in comparison to other tablets because it has such a dominant presence, both in market share and mind share. To act like it shouldn't ever be mentioned, or that mentioning it is immediate dismissal and criticism of Android is ridiculous. I have no words. Is Apple paying you to push their products? What provokes you to poo poo up the Android thread?
