Infinity Gaia posted:Is there any particular reason to go for a blueprinted mech if it's also available in Gachapon? Specifically, I'm shooting for Blue Destiny Unit 1 (I'd rather have Unit 2 but that apparently isn't out yet? Or maybe I'm just looking in the wrong place), and it'd require me leveling a GM Ground Type quite a bit. Why should I do that instead of just gambling at the Gachas for a bit until I get it with less trouble? Because for A ranks, the results are heavily skewed against you, and the crafted ones always have an extra custom slot than the capsule ones. You may ultimately end up spending more just trying to get them through the gashapon. And you're better off crafting the B ranks in the 7500 rolls.

Also, going for blueprint ingredient units in the gachas will eventually let you pick up some random As and Bs. It's less soul-crushing than dropping 25K on a single machine and not picking up the A from it.

I recommend everyone use blueprints because they force you to use a unit you might normally. And then you might fall in love with it, then get kicked out of pvp matches for murdering gundams with a C rank(hygogg) I haven't played in a while, is the pvp still full of idiots using only A ranks and getting pissy because you use a C rank? That was lame, fight my Zaku squad mono e monoeye

Some B's it's definitely worth going to the blueprint for, especially those capsule pods that are like 7500 a go. With A's you might as well just get that extra custom point through the blueprint unless you are feeling really lucky. (You are never lucky.) In PvP news I'm having way more fun rolling death matches, where units get less lives the higher the rank. It feels a bit more balanced and matches end faster.

You should because the Orchis is loving bananas. Missiles that shoot missiles that explode into more missiles... So good. But yeah attend early and often for maximum clannage.

drat I wasted a bit of time to grind out some free astros to do the gatchapon on the website and got one of the beam zakus and holy crap it starts out maxed to custom 1. I didn't realize the gatchapon units came with skills. If anyone needs a decent starting unit might not be a bad idea to get the 57 astros for a shot at something good.

Run PvP matches to get points. Non-storyline missions don't give points every time like PvP, but you have a chance at points in the item capsules you get at the end.

PvP is healthier for your sanity, though.

Well, I almost have everything I need for when the Kshatriya is released. I need one more B rank to have all the parts for the standard Qubeley, when it's released, and after that point I'll only need one B rank and a C rank suit and I'll be set.

I decided to give this a try. I've got a few questions now though: - Do I have to do that annoying mission pair every time I change robots if I want to do quests? Most say they require 'Battle Support', and as far as I understand the only way to get that is to run the mission pair again. And again. And again. - Not knowing anything about Gundam (aside from Char), I decided I wanted Palace Athene by virtue of awesome-despite-mispelling name. I got it, and now I'm wondering why it's an A-rank. Any advice on how to use it? - Is there any way to interrupt a melee combo, or am I always going to be doomed to lose half my half when I accidentally back into a pair of Zakus?

^^^^ 1 - Yeah though it's not so important to have your unit on battle support. All it does it qualify it for those missions and let you see enemies on radar with out those skills. 2 - The Athene is a long range paper suit so get to know your range for your guns, cooldowns, and firing patterns. There's usually no surefire way to get to master a suit it's just knowing your abilities, skills, weapons, and how to maneuver well on all kinds of terrains. 3 - The only way out of a melee combo is for one of 3 things to happen. A) You get knocked down, either from a full melee combo or a powerful hit. B) For whoever is meleeing you may miss judge their range miss on a hit during the combo so you can recover and dodge out. C) A special attack will always interrupt anything with the exception of a special attack mid animation. It's important to note that you cannot interrupt someones special regardless of if it's a melee, ranged, or beam special. However you can avoid every special by avoiding the initial hit, with melee and ranged specials it's a unique attack that you can avoid by dashing away before it can hit which takes some pretty far distance or you can use your own special. As every special attacks make you completely invincible you can use it to counter other peoples specials before they hit. Especially with melee specials since it's just a dash towards you if you have a beam special you can counter that hard by using it as the person dashes towards you. If you get knocked down by some dudes in melee they're new to the game because they should be animation cancelling and dashing to re-combo you for all your hp! Silver lining and all. Seriously though, if you're playing a Scissor type mech (aka pretty much any generalist suit and the "standard" type of Gundam) you'll have to watch yourself because almost every Rock suit is melee focused if not melee only. Also I'm so mad that the Gaplant isn't in the game. I mean what the hell, they threw in that dorky Asshimar but not the coolest transformable from Zeta.

I guess if we were ever really desperate to get to the 60 cap and we had 8 people on regularly we could make a backup clan to fight against though.
