Erebus posted:How about an unused concept? Has someone posted a collection of Drew Struzan art yet? I would if I wasn't so busy. He just received the Saul Bass Award (basically lifetime achievement award) at the Key Art Awards last Thursday and he got two standing ovations and even talked a little smack on Nick Offerman who was hosting. He's a legend.

I really wish I had been able to get one of his Thing posters, but I wasn't going to pay $250 for a poster.

This would be cool as gently caress if it just played straight and not "look the coffin is a cat mouth and the blood makes a cross? aint that neat". Also do the weird markings link to anything in the movie?

The Worst Bear posted:Not sure if this is appropriate for this thread, I'll remove it if not. A response to the ouiji board game movie: Is this supposed to be making fun of the Ouija movie? Because Mousetrap could make a legit good movie, it's just the idea of a very complicated trap. You can do a lot of stuff with that. Don't Wake Daddy could be super suspenseful, and Operation could be a pretty solid torture porn Saw/Human centipede type thing, for people into such stuff. Plus, the last time you could make fun of a movie just because it was based on a board game was 1984..

Cleretic posted:2012. Nope. Clue proves that a movie based on a board game can be good. Battleship wasn't bad because it was based on a board game, that's just lazy criticism Doctor Bishop posted:Seriously. Clue at least had a fairly distinctive setting and cast of characters that could easily be expanded out into a movie, but Battleship? Come the gently caress on. And this is stupid and dumb and lazy and terrible. Of course a movie based on Battleship would involve Battleships. A Monopoly movie would involve real estate stuff, just pasting the Monopoly guy in place of the alien in the Battleship poster is ridiculous. It's not even a joke.

davidspackage posted:Have you read the comic it's based on? I didn't and felt totally lost watching the movie. The plot of the movie and the plot of the comic is totally different though. In the comic for example the female lead isn't the last of her kind and super special (and isn't introduced before the second album), she's just a woman with blue hair and a severe case of depression.
