The highest opponent score in B10 against Illinois this season was tOSU with 74 pts. That doesn't count as betting for or against right? double edit: holy poo poo I just realized I completely misread Illinois' scores this year when I was tired as hell last night.. Record: 10-11 (+3.37 units) First bet for the day: ![]() *2 units on Oregon St.* These are two teams heading to opposite directions. Oregon is 4-2 in their last six games whille going 6-0 ATS. Meanwhile, the Beavers have lost four straight games and went 0-4 ATS during that stretch. They have already beaten this Ducks team on the road via a scintillating performance from Jared Cunningham, one of this year's candidates for the Pac-12 POTY. Oregon has the better W/L record but examining the numbers will show why the spread is like this. The Beavers have a higher score differential (albeit they had a slightly easier schedule so far than the Ducks). They rebound the ball better (32% OffReb as opposed to the Ducks' 30.4%). They draw fouls at a higher rate (0.444 FTA/FGA as opposed to the Ducks' 0.398) and playing at home will just widen this gap (Pac-12 refs y'all). Oregon is battling for an NCAA berth but the numbers show that they're a middle of the pack team in the Pac-12. Look for the Beavers to put a dent on Oregon's NCAA tourney aspiration and sweep the Civil War series. *2 units on Colorado* I'm taking this with the same reasoning I used yesterday on my picks. Fishy line, home court advantage (Colorado is 13-2 at home plus the Colorado altitude factor; Cal is just 5-4 on the road) and RLM/non-movement even if the public is pounding California. Colorado is also looking to bounce back after that embarrassing home loss to Stanford just a few days ago. This is Indiana St. yesterday all over again. If Colorado doesn't win this game, I look for a cover of the spread. Demented Guy fucked around with this message at Feb 26, 2012 around 18:14 |

Don't bet on Iowa, really at all, for anything. Yeah, it should go under, but Iowa just scored 43 points in a half against a team who was averaging 50 some points scored against per game. Gatens could come out on fire, Basabe could be the beast that he is showing signs of. And you know, Illinois actually has good players. They could stop listening to their dumbass coach and just pound Iowa. I could see this as 81-70 (Iowa or Illinois) just as easy as 66-60.

God drat, should have went with my instinct and bet the Hoosiers today. They're just destroying Minnesota. California is +3 now in some places. Still pretty happy with the Colorado +2.5 line with almost no vig at all.

It would be interesting to see how many times a goon consensus bet has won or loss. We should keep track somewhere and see what our win/loss ratio is.
