Just lost £20 from a foolish bet that Real Madrid would win the Champions League. Dang. I'm new to sports betting and having fun in these early days, so I'll see how it goes. I'm mainly using it to try and force myself to take more of an interest in sport generally.

Bet £100 on Thunder to win £125, now I'm up for the month I think. If I'd put that money on Magic I'd have £500 right now, haha.

So I'm starting to realise that the way to win on NBA games is to pick the team you think is going to win and then bet on the other one. That sound about right?

Yeah I've picked a couple of bad unders in the last couple of days. Going to stop now. Overall I've had an alright first month of proper sports betting. I've turned £135 into £535, but then I went and lost about half on some pretty stupid bets. Pretty mad at myself for going with "gut feeling" over any proper analytical choices. I'm still up £200 on my initial deposit, so hopefully if I cool it a bit I can only go up. Edit: I had a lot of success initially by going with the picks in this thread, then I went off and did my own dumb thing and hosed up. So you guys better pick some winners

So I posted a couple of days ago about how I was a new sports gambler and I was doing great, £500 up on my investment. Predictably, I went and lost it all. So I did what every moron does and poured more and more money in to claw back my winnings. I went on tilt... and won it all back, plus extra. I'm now sitting at £800 up. I think I should quit now. For uh. Health reasons. I'd like to say I could slow it down and do a £5 bet here or a £10 bet there, but I know I'd be throwing away £100 and £200 before long. I don't know. Just about broke even this weekend thanks to the Clippers pulling through. Still haven't slowed down yet, but I've withdrawn £700 of pure profit. I mean gently caress, that's almost what I make in a month at my job. Left £100 in my account to see if I can do it again, and if not then I have every intention of quitting til payday at least.
