They actually found out we were watching us, we didn't contact them. Zaqtaro joined the forum, and really our fandom expanded thanks to that.

edit: So it's all Zaqtaro's fault.

Alienating your fans is pretty much how to succeed in wrestling 101. Next step is to raise ticket prices to $75 each in order to sell more seats in empty arenas.

Honestly, I don't think these changes will alienate very many of the MSW fans that attend the shows, just us on the Internet. The people that go to the shows all seem to be super marks. Almost a throwback to the 70s and 80s. I think that's why I had so much fun at the shows I went to, because those people really got into every match even when it was the drizzling shits. Losing Stro may make a few of them stop coming for a while, but I'd say they'll be back once they attach themselves to a new face.

That said, there have to be better wrestlers in the area to bring in than Lost Boy Nero and Zac Vincent. Ugh.

Well, you've seen some of the tag teams they have on their roster. Actually, I think these two new goofs may make the forth tag team, now that The Hollywood Outlaws have broken up.

I mean, you have Shane/Lit, who are pretty good, then Bad Karma, and Buddy Love and Bob Brown. No way Nero and Zac are worse than the latter two, are they?

Conard's on a show, if it hits the internet I'll watch it. That guy has a ton of potential. But not enough I'll risk driving into WV and interact with fleshreal people.

Also that bit about Diablo was very interesting. Has anyone met his kids?

The squinty one is Lost Boy Nero. He's awful.

Zac Vincent wrestled in IWA East Coast. He's not a terrible wrestler, but from what I remember he had zero personality and charisma. "Omega" Aaron Draven would have been a better person to bring in.

Edit: Zac Vincent

There are some really good wrestlers in IWA-East Coast. Double so since the company "Re-Launch" that got rid of most of the garbage wrestling. Aaron Draven is an incredible work horse. Chris Miles is also really good, and moves incredibly well for a guy his size. Jason Kincaid is okay but good god is he the ugliest mis-match of Tyler Recks and Grizzly Redwood.

THose shots were ALL taken at random while watching his promo. None of them were purposefully unflattering - all just were unflattering. That's Erickson's baseline.

He had an I Quit match with Matt Conard at MSW's one iPPV that was legitimately one of the best matches of the year. Lemme see if I can find the posts in the old MOTY thread. Hold on.

Mr. Carlisle
Jul 14, 2007

I'm down for that if I'm home tonight. Johnny Blast's post about providing us with awesome content even if it's not MSW got me to thinking - we could track down some stuff from guys like Conard, Bulldozer, Blast, Stro and the other wrestlers we enjoy watching from other indies that put their stuff online and watch that together. That way each week it'd be a new experience with a different promotion but still with familiar talent that we could continue to support.

It's an idea to consider, anyway.

For a big dude, he sure bumps a lot, but that willingless doesn't make it a better match. He can bump around for a smaller opponent, but instead of making the opponent look good, it still looks clumsy and slow and boring.
