Jamie Carragher could easily take John Terry's place and be a better asset to the locker room.

In order to let Lampard and Stevie G go forward we need a really negative and ugly holding midfielder like David Batty. Someone that can only pass sideways and makes Gareth Barry look like Ginola.
Carragher or Ledley King or John Terry.

When do they have to turn in the team selections? It's soon but I can't remember what day.

Also, has anyone actually ever needed 3 keepers? Surely 2 is plenty and then just get an outfielder to do it.

I think there are rules that you have to have three keepers.

Anyone insulting her will have to confront Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard and Kieron Dyer insisting that the camera always adds 10 pounds.

The only lesson I'm getting from this article's "debate" is that Hodgson should go with Cahill and Lescott as CBs.

I think I've figured it out.

If Adam Johnson can be persuaded to carry David Beckham around piggy-back and drop him off when a cross into the box is needed you get both a player who can beat a man and a great crosser as an impact sub.

A Black Mark For Retarded Posting

I really think people should prepare themselves for the fact Gerrard and Lampard will both be going to the Euros. There's 20 outfield players, probably 9 of whom will be midfielders, probably 5 of whom will play centrally. Literally no-one is a certainty in the midfield anymore, Parker is the closest.

No Wilshere, so other than Carrick, Barry and Milner that's pretty much it for English centre-mids, and three of those 4 are really DMs. An outside shot at Leon Britton getting called up, but we all know it's not happening.

The youth route for the centre of midfield is really not full of good options right now though. No Wilshere, no Rodwell, Cleverley's barely played this season. Unless I'm forgetting anyone, that leaves the Liverpool trio of Henderson/Spearing/Shelvey, who got torn apart a week ago against Fulham.

I doubt they'll start together every single game, but get yourself prepared: Stevie G and Lamps are both on that plane.

Is it a "I don't know whether he's playing well" as in "I'm not sure that's a good idea", just a polite form of "he's been rubbish"?

He's either stupid or wrong, I suppose. But I wouldn't agree to participate in that if I knew full well I hadn't watched half these players play all season.

He also kicked the ball at Ashley Cole while the young Arsenal lad was crying on the floor pretending he was injured once. He was sent off, of course, but that was the best thing he ever did or will do.

He did his best to contribute to the financial demise of City as well, but still remains incredibly bitter about us.

The fact is we overpaid for Lescott and that will always be held against him, regardless of how good he has been. This season he's been as good as Kompany, and there is no higher praise.

I think people have forgotten how shockingly good he was at Everton after he was briefly a comedy figure at City during Hughes' reign, and God knows we prefer to take the piss out of players. If either of United's clowncar frauds (Smalling and Jones) gets picked ahead of him then I don't know.

bit harsh tbh, Smalling has had two good seasons at United. Obviously Lescott should be picked well ahead of him but I don't think Smalling would be a bad pick for CB/RB backup

Psybro

I was being needlessly harsh but discussions about England or anyone who's job it was to prevent people scoring goals against Manchester United this season will do that.

Paperhouse

United only conceded more goals than City in the league this year tbf. Although Smalling didn't actually play that much, we owe a lot of it to Jonny Evans. Jonny Evans. Jonathan Grant Evans. Jonathan Grant "Jonny" Evans. Is he even Northen Irish? idk. can't we make him English. And he can play in another bad team.

Looking at England's probable team selection, you guys are gonna get bummed. As a Portuguese, I sympathize, we don't have a great team either this year, looks like it's another Spain/Germany/Netherlands cup unfortunately. But Jesus, either Holt or Carroll up front? Good luck.
