Eh, I don't even like Star Wars that much but I just thought it was clunky and not very fun. There are good 3D action brawler type games out there like Ninja Gaiden 2 and Bayonetta, Force Unleashed was just a clunker, regardless of license.

Ninja Gaiden really isn't one of those button-mashing beat-em up games. Those games will wreck your poo poo if you're not very careful and deliberate with your actions. Probably why I love them so much.

Speaking of Ninja Gaiden. Ninja Gaiden 3 was awful and it's pretty clear that with the shakeups in Team Ninja that all of the talent and creative vision behind the series left.

Tomonobu Itagaki was the main person behind the second Ninja Gaiden franchise and left before the second game was released, so yeah, that at least partially explains why the third was bad.

Oh yeah, Ive been dreading it as Ninja Gaiden Black was probably my favorite game ever (2 was good and I liked it a lot but not as much as Black). 3 looks so bad. I'll probably still get it from a Redbox or something just to be sure but its definitely not something I have much hope for.

I never got the love for Ninja Gaiden 2. The fighting was fun but the level design was the blandest goddamn thing in the world and I felt like I had to apologize to every woman I have ever met or will ever meet for how that FBI agent is dressed.

Game point: Bayonetta

I never played Vanguard, but hearing about how awesome Biotic Charge is is making me think about giving it a shot. On a side note, anyone who has yet to play soldier should consider it. Maxed out Adrenaline Rush is hilarious. Couple it with a Mattock, and you can just walk around out of cover, obliterating your enemies.

I had maxed A.R and I found it a rather pathetic boost. Maybe I was using the wrong ammo=/=enemy but for a maxed out buff, I was like 'cuh mon!'. Regarding Tuchunka (not huge spoilers or anything, a mentioning of a fight in this segment) Did anyone else loving HATE targeting the reaper destroyer with the paint-laser thing, gently caress that segment. Lets give you no cover. That brought me back to the days of PS1 games where you've just gotta keep retrying and retrying until you do. I suppose modern games have made me into a big man-baby with my gaming difficulties

I did the damage increase at 4, then the duration increase at 5, and I could essentially slaughter everyone with an upgraded Mattock. If you go with a light loadout, you can pretty much reactivate AR after only a second or two of cooldown. It makes for a fun time! simosimo posted:Did anyone else loving HATE targeting the reaper destroyer with the paint-laser thing, gently caress that segment. Lets give you no cover. Oh yeah I know, but I find from a gameplay standpoint, it forces you into something that's extremely linear with no choice other than to grin and bear it. We have 3 games worth of choices, non-linear decisions and stuff, then we're forced into this poo poo. What if my Shep doesn't give a poo poo and carries on back to the Normandy(which would result in that reaper joining up to it's main fleet, screwing us later). Sperg'y poo poo, but just my two cents (or pence) It was probably the only thing that irked me with the whole game; one of those things you're going to dread doing on the re-plays. See: Metal Gear Solid 2, and swimming with Emma Emmerich.
