Dass Niemand posted:What's everyone's opinion on screen protectors? I bought some generic one since the ones at Best Buy are always sold out. Unfortunately, and anyone who's used these for their phones will know, it's riddled with bubbles which are starting to annoy me. Do some people feel that it's worth getting the screen protector? Should I just stop bitching and get the Sony one? I've got the official Sony branded one on mine and it's well worth the $10. It was easier to apply than any screen protector I've ever used. I got it on without any bubbles or anything which I almost never do with these things.

It keeps it looking new, you won't have to worry about air bubbles, and it comes with a lifetime warranty. It could cost around $30, but I think it's worth it. I wish I did it to my 3DS.

Lucinice posted:Man why do all the official trailers have a poo poo framerate? If you watch gameplay from gametrailers or IGN it looks fine. Seriously, everything Sony's put out on this game makes it look like it runs at 10fps, it's like the anti-bullshot. Hopefully the full game runs decently.

I definately plan to wait and see some reviews before purchasing it. I'm not dealing with Turok 2 frames per second in a modern game.

So AMAZON has a sale where if you buy a Vita, you get a 4GIG card and Mortal Kombat for free.

Andriasang has a full article about the Soul Sacrifice presentation, lots of information and such. Inafune shows the shocking foresight that makes him a forward thinker in the Japanese game industry with such wisdom as "hey you guys, if you have online multiplayer then you'll do better overseas". HINT HINT. CAPCOM.

Should I just stop bitching and get the Sony one? I dont' see any need whatsoever for a screen protector, as long as you keep the Vita in a decent case, what could possibly happen to the screen? If it's out of the case I assume you'll be holding it or it will be set down somewhere safe. It's not going to spontaneously get scratched unless you take a key to it or something. It's solid plastic, it will be fine without a screen protector, and it's better without one.

Apparently a brand new Vita game was announced at PlayStation Canada's yearly gamer thing: Zombie Tycoon 2, a zombie themed RTS which has PS3 Cross Play.

Does anyone know when Pinball Arcade is getting its EU release? I just wanna play some goddamn pinball already. ![]() I saw them moaning on facebook about the license to a table being expensive. Release your drat game in the EU already then maybe you'll get some more money! Jerks. Stiggs fucked around with this message at May 11, 2012 around 00:34 |

I'm not gonna lie, Soul Sacrifice looks cool as poo poo and I can't wait for it to be released. Just sold my 3ds that was gathering dust. Haven't as much as turned it on since getting my Vita.

^^ I guess you could say you just couldn't "turn it on" anymore? Those pictures look downright awesome. Can't wait for the announcement! Also, does Sony have any plans of putting the rest of the drat PSP library on the Vita? It's stupid that you can buy the game on something like Media Go, but not being able to transfer it! Sony, your drat library should've been 100% ready from the get go! What the hell?! Case in point, most games can be bought and transfered from the PS3! What the hell, Sony?

Should I just stop bitching and get the Sony one? GET A SCREEN PROTECTOR. Seriously, the people that say you don't need one are the "well my gran smoked a pack of cigarettes a day and lived to be 97" crowd. You might be lucky, but if you aren't then the sight of a bit of damage on the screen is heartbreaking. A good, well-applied screen protector is pretty much invisible. All it would take to ruin a naked screen though, is for just one piece of grit to get into that carry case and get pushed against the surface of the device. Happened to my iPad, which has a tiny little notch in its glass screen that I can't unsee, and I was careful as hell with that. This screen is plastic, and part of the shell of the device so it cannot be easily replaced like on previous models. You gently caress this screen, you gently caress your entire Vita basically. Don't take the risk.

I don't have a screen protector on my Vita. But I'm also one of those who only uses an iPhone case while at work, and even then, no screen protector. My iPhone is also scratched to poo poo, but hey, it's a phone, not a piece of art. My Vita has no scratches so far, but that stays in a case at home. Portable video game systems are made for kids on the go. They can take a ton of damage. Or if one scratch annoys you, encase it in carbonite.

It's still disheartening to see the first scratch on an otherwise flawless slick surface.

I guess I'm weird, but I hate screen protectors. My Vita has a couple somewhat bad scratches, and honestly it doesn't bother me at all. It's virtually unnoticeable while playing except in bright light, which I almost never do. Maybe screen protectors have increased in quality since the last time I used them, but they decreased video quality, and scratch like crazy, so you end up seeing the screen with a lot more scratches than you would if you had gone without.

I used my PSP for years, took it everywhere without a screen protector of course and there's not a mark on it. Scratches don't just appear on a solid screen. Unless you're throwing the device into a bag full of keys, knives and sand there is no need to stick a plastic sheet on the screen. People are so paranoid about scratches, it's hardly a risk.

| # ? May 11, 2012 06:24 |

My rule of thumb is if it has a glass screen, it doesn't need one. If it's plastic, wrap that poo poo. You people who don't put on a screen protector on your Vitas are crazy.

I didn't pick up a screen protector before I moved and I've noticed a few scratches on my screen that are starting to drive me crazy. the vita screen is not the same as the one on the psp, it can really use a protector.

Does anyone know of anywhere offering American PSN points internationally, sent via email? Amazon.com do this ― however, they won't deal with users without US-based accounts.

Sometimes they email you first asking for your PSN details, then email you the code. It could be your order just didn't go through, error with the website or something.

Jesus, that sounds pretty hosed up. Play-Asia sells US $20s and $50s if that site's still cool, and they offer "digital download" versions (which I assume are just emails)

You can buy 20s and 50s from Best Buy's website. They'll email you the code and international folk can buy them if they use a specific address.

So I'm halfway through Resistance Retribution (picked it up when SCEE put it on sale), and after this and Uncharted, I'm convinced that Sony Bend are incredible and deserve way better than being stuck on side story spinoff games.

So apparently My Hot Electronics has dropped the price of the Wi-Fi edition vita for 225 on their website today. I'm really considering buying it. That, and picking up uncharted, disgaea 3 and a 16 gb card as well. Is the 16 gb card ok? I don't know how to judge the game and save size of vita games yet.

If you don't plan on buying any large amount of games on PSN, 16 gig is more than sufficient. Otherwise, just grab the 32gb.

I only have a few games, but my 16gb has been working out for me pretty well. Mind, the only games I've downloaded are PSP games that usually run the size gamut of 90mb (Half Minute Hero) to around 3-4gb (Valkyria Chronicles).
