They could have just accidentally uploaded the same file twice or something. Either way it's something else to play tomorrow. Now I get to make the decision on what day one games to get other than Katamari.

I feel like I'm a sucker for new technology...I regretted buying a 3DS early, and I figured it would be best to wait out the Vita launch in the event they pull a similar stunt due to low sales. But there are some nice incentives for buying one now, namely the included 8GB card and the free download of Super Stardust (plus the 30 days 3G, which I only care about because it's required to get the download of SS). I'm considering using my Best Buy card to pay it in increments with no financing, as well as include a PSN card so I can download either a Vita game (Lumines or Uncharted) followed by a couple of PSP games (Tactics Ogre, Tails in the Sky). Any reports on which PSP games look especially great on the Vita? I think I read that anything that's sprite-based looks best. Also, between Lumines and Uncharted, which would be the better launch game? I haven't finished Uncharted 3 yet, and Lumines is cheaper, so I'm considering making that the first option.

Well I was quite convinced I was going for the 3G version, but then I looked at the 3G prices. 250mb - 15 dollars 3gigs - 30 dollars That seems a little disproportionate, doesn't it? Shouldn't the lower tier be close to 1 gig? I mean really At&t, at least pretend to be fair. Not sure if I can justify that. How easily could one go over the 250 mb limit? Cross game chat is 3G is it not? That has to take up data or no?

Uncharted is obviously going to be more impressive in terms of what the Vita can do, i.e. full console game on a handheld, but Lumines is addictive and you can play it for hours on end, and likely you will be playing it for a long time to come. It seems a bit expensive for now but not really when you consider the many hours of gameplay it will provide. Both would be worth getting at some point but i'd go with Uncharted first for maximum fanciness to demonstrate the new system.

Lumines is one of those games that you'll able to play for a long, long time. The two Lumines games I had for the PSP are probably the best investments I made for the PSP as far as time played vs. the money I spent.

Okay, I'm picking my bundle up after school tomorrow but I'm still stuck on what I want to get with it. I'm picking up Katamari on the 22nd, and a $20 PSN card for a couple downloadable games, but I don't know what to get with the system. I'm leaning towards Rayman, but WipEout is also a possibility. Will I turn into a ball of anger if my previous racing game experience was Burnout: Paradise and Mario Kart?

So far Vita is sounding like something worth nabbing on launch day, based on the bundle and software deals. 3G/WiFi bundle with 8GB card+30 days 3G+Free Game (confirmed to be Super Stardust?) Target B2G1 For Target, I would probably make it Uncharted+Lumines, undecided on the third. Has Gravity Daze been confirmed/debunked yet as a launch title? I don't suppose there is any way I could convince Target to make the free game a PSN card (which I would then use on PSP games), is there? Selling the third game might be an option, but launch games usually don't go for crap on eBay. The other concern is the battery life, but I last I checked it takes mere minutes to charge fully. Something like 10-20 minutes?

Apparently starting the 19th to the 25th, Target will have buy 2 get 1 free Vita games. I'm too broke from Tales of the Abyss 3D, 3G/WiFi Vita combo(8GB mem card, etc), lending my sister cash, and general other crap. Maybe I'll ask someone to loan me some dosh I can pay back next month, EDIT: Someone beat me to it, I'm an idiot.

The free game (Super Stardust Delta + DLC) and thirty days of AT&T service included in the Vita 3G/WiFi Launch Bundle may only be redeemed after the first month of paid AT&T service. Graivty Rush (aka Gravity Daze outside of NA) will be released in May. I highly doubt Target would ring up PSN cards as games. There are strict price controls on those cards.

IRSmurf posted:$15 + 10,000% wireless tax (YMMV) So is it $15 for one free month unlimited 3G, or a set amount of data? I kind of prefer the latter, as I don't foresee any point in the coming months where I won't be near a WiFi hotspot (either my own or nearby). On the upside, TiTS, Tactics Ogre and Corpse Party are confirmed compatible titles, so that's still something I'm planning. I should probably look into putting up my physical copy of Dissidia 012 and double-dip on a download version. Primoman fucked around with this message at Feb 15, 2012 around 07:47 |

Has anyone confirmed the MJ "demo" really truly honestly is the full game by mistake yet? It sounds too good to be true, but I'm really hoping that it is. Soon as I read it in this thread I instantly fired up my Vita, deleted a couple of PSP games to make room, and hit the download as fast as I could. Very curious to see what will happen. And if it is the full game, could they automatically override it by forcing users to "update" to the actual demo version? Yeah these are all rhetorical questions, I guess I'm really just hoping for a free game. Guess I find out in ... 35 minutes.
