Even though the last CoD game I bought was MW2 (and only because my roomate pressured me into doing it) I'd probably still get whatever hits the vita if Unit 13 doesn't satisfy my generic brown manshoots hunger.

This is precisely why I don't think the Souls franchise would work on Vita. I imagine way too many people would toss the drat thing across the room if something like Anor Londo was on it.

I always thought that Blight town wasn't too bad, framerate aside. Anor Londo was my nightmare for a while just because of Ornstein and Smough. Started playing Super Stardust HD in preparation of Stardust Delta next week, those snake like enemies that spawn are horrible, they just sneak up on me and then I'm dead on phase 4.

Dark Souls is one of those games that I remember having a really tough time with, but looking back so much of it doesn't seem really hard anymore. Except maybe Tomb of the Giants, because gently caress it takes so long to really get ready for that. Anyway I just finished Uncharted: Golden Abyss and screw you whoever designed the final boss! That was just unpleasant. Now to replay the game on Crushing!

I went into AT&T earlier to get 3g sorted out for my vita. They put it all under my main account and I can manage it from there. The only thing I can't do is log into the dataconnect thing on the main screen which is fine with me.

I've been watching this thread and have been amazed it took 20+ pages before someone criticized the vita, especially considering how the 3DS thread was prior to the launch. I'm super impressed by the hardware, but after watching the giantbomb vita 5-6 hour preview i was pretty unimpressed with every single game except that dungeon hunter game...and i guess it turns out that is a .99 cent game on IOS? Uncharted reminded me of a release day DS title where they force all of the touch controls down your throat. Wipeout load times were ridiculous, apparently they improved on that but still i haven't enjoyed wipeout since the PS1 and the gameplay is dated. And how do you make a game like Mod Nation Racers without online play? Also the FEB looks like an insult to me. I get it completely if you want it early and don't feel like waiting an extra week and you are willing to pay a premium for that, but little deviants looks like garbage and that 4gb stick isn't going to be enough to do much except save games and small downloads. On paper, this looks like a great launch lineup with all of the titles but it's lacking Monster Hunter and a good RPG. For everyone claiming you are buying 5-10 games at least go to giantbomb and watch the quicklooks on the games you are getting...it might save you some money with all of the prelaunch hype going on here.

Called eight gamestops last night and struck out. The ninth one had one unreserved Vita bundle in stock. I bought that and three games; Dungeon Hunter, Wipeout, and Hot Shots Golf. I'm loving this thing so far. I want to get ModNation Racers and the new Ys game if/when it ever comes out in the states. PSN name is PSValsu.

So far, I've got to say I'm quite enamored with the device. Gorgeous screen, pleasing form factor, incredible controls all around. Launch titles are pretty impressive, and I'm stoked to score some more games for the system and a juicy 32gb memory card. Totally pleased with the FEB purchase. My PSN name is DMountford, and it's a new acct so not much there yet. Just can't wait to score me some Lumines  . That game ate up my entire freshman year of college.

Is it possible to use a 3G Vita without signing up for a data plan? Or is there a nag for you to sign up every time you turn it on or something else that makes this idea suck? I suspect there will eventually be something I want GPS or maybe even 3G for, and I don't want to get a Wifi unit only to regret it later.

I have to say that so far Uncharted on Crushing isn't that hard so far. I just got to Chapter 14 and there hasn't really been any roadblocks ala "that loving plane crash" like in Uncharted 1. Finding all these little collectibles is kind of a bitch though, but it's cool because I've got a guide. Does anyone have a good picture, like a screenshot of the flyer itself, of the Target Buy 2 Get 1 Free deal? Because if I can get maybe Best Buy or Future Shop to price match it, I'll go out and do it and pick up Ridge Racer along with my copies of Shinobido 2 and Ninja Gaiden next week.

I just wish they would enable Remote Play for PS2 games for the few of us that still actually have PS3 system that still play the silly things. Oh, and since I didn't see it mentioned here yet, Eurogamer announced back in November that in a future PS3 update, Remote Play will be made available for all games. Whether they're talking just disk PS3 games, all games period, or what I don't know, but apparently it will be upscaled PSP resolution, with developers of future games being encouraged to put in a 480p mode for Vita specific remote play in future games.
