It's usually not advised for use with 2D games. Pixel art games in particular.
I haven't seen the filtering stuff on the Vita, but I remember playing Gundam Battle Assault 2 for the PS1 (2D sprite fighter) using the PS2 filtering, and the game looked incredible with its smooth textures. Is it similar in that regard?

Hatsune Miku Project DIVA owns, though, so it's worth talking about.

Sounds like someone playing damage control. I'll still hold out hope!

Talking with a friend, he mentioned that it would cool if Carpe Fulgur would port their games on the Vita.

I wonder if they can contact EasyGameStation to release a port of Recettear on the Vita or PSP as a digital only title, it'll be pretty drat cool if it could happen.
I feel like Chantelise would be perfect for a PSP release.

drat you Japan, can't you make a game without putting lots of anime in it?
Without anime, the seams that hold this world together would break, causing our very existence to crumble before the gods that would shake their heads in disdain at our wishes to remove anime, the true gift of the cosmos, from this land.

They did give Symphony of the Night a new translation and voice-over.
A fantastic one at that.

I hate anime. It doesn't help that anime has incredibly shallow dialogue and story devices. Would it kill them to write stories that can be taken seriously now and then?
This is a really ignorant statement.

The problem with the first Project Diva game was the stuttering frame rate. This makes hitting the notes much harder than it ought to be, especially when they don't really correspond to the song very well.
I'm so glad this was fixed in 2nd. That really made aspects of PD1 insufferable.

CHANCE TIME!

*missed one note, has to replay the entire song again*
*doesn't clear last song on Extreme, is okay with that*

Imagine that song on PD1.

Well, I love DDR, EBA, J-Pop AND Techno, yet absolutely despise Hatsune Miku and this game.
Sorry you have terrible taste. The mechanics of PD are pretty great, and the fact that you can't get past the fact that it's Vocaloid music is disappointing.

I bet you hate Sound Voltex Booth too.

The menus aren't very complicated at all. It's a rhythm game, remember. It's mostly just figuring out how to get to the songs (usually the first option) and the rest you can figure out from basic trial and error. The franchise has such weird rabid fans that by the time the game comes out and ships to your house, someone will have probably already translated all the menus and you could just read that.
There is also an extensive Project DIVA wiki with menu translations.
