I get the impression if you're not used to playing moba style games you're better off playing some other game where the barrier of entry isn't so high.

Should i just be trying to heal, or do I need to tag bots in order to gain xp for them? I feel if I can just keep up on levels I can stay competitive, but I'd be lying if I said I wasnt frustrated to the point of wanting to uninstall.

I assure you, other moba games have a much higher barrier to entry. But you're right this game can be super frustrating when you get run all over.

Playing a support class with pubs can be one of the worst experiences. You might try someone who can carry harder, or if you want to keep playing Combat Girl just remember the buddy system.

I second money magnet, also lasering bots whenever you can, I tend to upgrade offense/laser/cats first then def and turret buff.

I'm sure better people than me will tell you more optimal ways of playing her.

Does anyone know yet how matchmaking works? I've got about 200 games under my belt and grouped with a few newbies on Mumble last night and got a full group of clan buddies who were pretty drat good at stomping us, and then right after a group of reddit players with an invincible Combat Girl who went like 21-0.

I have to say, Leo is a lot of loving fun. I followed the advice you guys gave me yesterday, and it went great. We (2 of my friends and I still trying to get a feel for the game) lost one round to an organized team with a ridiculous gunslinger (35-0-15 at the end of the game), but other than that, we did pretty well and Leo is loving fun as hell. Just a couple more questions, I promise.

1) Does Leo's heal hit globally? I had thought I had to be right by someone for the heal to connect, but my friend said he got hit with it as he was leaving spawn when I was up by the enemy moneyball.
2) Does buffing bots increase their movement speed as well? I buffed a bouncer near the end of the game and it looked like it easily chased down a combat girl.

I've basically been following the "always kill bots, avoid fighting enemy pros unless you have buddies with you and they are isolated" strategy. I mostly avoid annihilator fights.

The only other thing I wonder about is what other pro to get. I still have 7.50 left in my steam/SMNC wallet from before I uninstalled TF2, and I'm not sure who to unlock. I already have the assault, and I like him, but he feels kind of generic. I was thinking either support or sniper. Can someone fill me in on support? I have played sniper a little in this, and it feels very similar to sniping in TF2, except with more utility and fragility.

Veteran. Nothing makes pubbies (or VC ) rage harder than being dominated by a team with a competent Vet. Getting a pull with the first minute or two can really pull your team up quickly. The downside to that is if you are missing a lot and not getting kills you can be gimped unless you're pummeling bots on your cooldown.

Goddamn, Vet on Bullet gorge is absolutely hilarious, you have three options, either A) pull them into a turret b) pull them off the bridge or c) pull them and then throw them off a bridge. The only bad part to playing Veteran is you absolutely have to stick by a turret or teammate [and by extension you'll end up towards the middle of the pack going something like 1-0-21], because you have no escape if you get ganked, and if people are paying attention to you actually getting an easy pull is a challenge.

I think it just multiplies the player experience levels, divides them by five and tries to match the resulting number with that of the other team. It's something lame like that, anyway.

I only wish to play Bullet Gorge anymore, the other two don't provide much fun for Vet. Spunky is way too close quarters after mid-game and pulls don't provide much benefit unless you're locked in chokepoint fights (which change up so much) and Loco is only fun for pulling people off the sides because for the most part the ceilings are too low for longer pulls.

I love Vet.

If you like Assault you might like Cheston, he plays somewhat similar and once you get rampage jumping down you can be mobile as all hell with a good amount of health.

Loco is fantastic for vet since you can get pulls from almost anywhere since it's so wide open.

I do like it for that but if you've got 1-2 pros going jungle you'll only have a good chance at 3 other ones, but that does put them at a disadvantage if you've got 4 people pushing lanes.

One of the best things I love about Moco is pulling people off of the annihilator from your moneyball. There was one match where I stopped 4 consecutive tries for the moneyball (only to eventually lose it) but I love the rage it causes. It's a bit harder to do on Bullet Gorge with the walls and amount of people up there but it's still satisfying to leave them a man out with a good pull.

Yup, Marhom's ~~pro vet strat~~ is to sit by the 2nd laser blaser next to the moneyball and just constantly throw ka-claws up to the anni button. It just repeatedly pulls anyone who hits it and sends them flying off the side.

It goes up by 1 (to a maximum of 100) for each bot kill you get, and it increases the damage you do to bots.
It gets reset when you die.

You can see it in the level up screen in the upper right corner.

Oh for sure, I am not blaming people for having to ask - UBER doesn't explain it at all. The only reason I figured it out is because having played WoW like an idiot I figured it was a player damage Vs. specific target.

Yeah, I looked through all the guides and searched google but it seems the only place they mention it is in the Bot Buster description itself.

I had assumed that it meant for every bot kill you got two kill credits making it easier to get the streaks.

Violently Car

Okay, think of rating as a percentage. If you have a 200 rating and an ability that deals 300 damage, then it deals 200% of that, or 600 damage. There's also bot rating and turret rating, which are applied only to bots and turrets (as expected). This stacks multiplicatively with damage rating, so if you have a 200 damage rating and a 200 bot rating, that 300 damage attack will be doing 1,200 damage to bots.

Bought Jackbots have different coloured shoulders don't they? Just had a game were my team dominated the entire game (every annihilator, golden egg etc) and then suddenly the other team got jack after jack and won in the space of about 5 minutes. Is there some random factor that can cause this?

Yeah, bought bots have gold plating on them. They also cannot be hijacked by Leo. Also once the money ball goes down, the attacking team gets a free spawn of Jackbots, and additional Jackbot spawns over time while it's down.

After 26 minutes the game goes into overtime mode and spawns jackbots down the right lane of both teams.
