Bot Buster + Critically Late is a pretty sick combo, too, especially on pros who get a huge boost when they upgrade from level 3 offense to level 4. If they're going to give you that information anyway, they may as well just make it visible from the lobby and score screen. socialsecurity posted:I have about a 25% win ratio due to constant afks on my team I'm not trying to be an rear end in a top hat, but if you're saying this you don't understand this game at a very basic level. This game is not about individual skill. Sentiments like "I played awesome but the rest of my team sucked and that's why we lost" show an inherent misconception about the game. (well, generally, anyway) If your whole team isn't working together, it almost doesn't even matter if one player is awesome, especially if they're up against a coordinated team. Conversely, if your team is well coordinated, then even if no one on your team is that skilled, you can still win easily against an uncoordinated team full of skilled players. The point is this: you can't expect to win if you're playing with players that you can't communicate with and depend on. Basically, this means that pick-up groups aren't viable. Maybe if the game had great built-in VOIP and matchmaking, but certainly not as is.

I mean, I guess if you get into critical you could tell, but by then it's kind of too late. Maybe they should change that aspect of it...

There is nothing funnier than identifying someone who is obviously new to commando in a game, typing "By the way, commandos can do a roll by hitting R with their melee weapon out." and immediately seeing them commando roll right off the map.

I died twice in one game to Chicky Cantor knockbacks occuring just as I went into the jungle to escape in Loco Moco. Also in another game Chicky glitched or something and got down from the jungle and knocked out three enemy players, giving us the win. In short, nerf Chicky.

I quite like the high prices. You set your goals and you save for those tasty new characters or products. Given that it now rains endorsements and products from the free prizes, it's even easier than it was.

I don't know how people play commandos against a competent teams If you grab someone, the entire team will be on your rear end spamming grapples and it's about impossible to get away. I played a couple games against a decent premade and my pub team got destroyed so fast it wasn't even funny. I was blinding people and jumping around but nope. Some how they turn around and chain grab me to death right after I drop my smoke bomb as assassin. I know you are supposed to jump away and poo poo but I got grabbed mid air so many times today ugh

If you are getting chain grappled, then you have engaged a target you shouldn't have. You should only attack low health or solo targets (Here you have to take into account what class you are attacking, how much health they are expected to have) With that said, if you are with pubbies against a 5 man pre-made, there is not a lot you can do. Your team will be scattered across the map trying to get L33t killz while the pre-made will be sticking together in groups no smaller than 2 and playing the objective. Get in Mumble and play with goons (We're not very good, but we stick together)

Products or endorsements don't break the game at all. They're nice, that's for sure, but after playing a few games and forgetting my stuff, I felt more annoyed than crippled. They help tailor the game to your playstyle more than anything. I usually play commando with hot hands, inspire and can't slow this, but I played three games yesterday forgetting to put any of those on my assassin and it really was just an inconvenience. They make the game easier but they don't win for you, the only thing that wins is good play. Same for my crit/money magnet setup on gunner. Nonetheless, I would say that you can get an effective setup by getting money magnet and a page of skill regen endorsements. Not that many CC's at all. washow posted:I don't know how people play commandos against a competent teams Stop grappling, duh. Grappling commits you to a fight and negates your escape mechanics. If you can hit an isolated dude but you're not sure he's 100% alone, just wail on him until help arrives and then get out. You make him vulnerable with low health and sometimes that's enough. If you have no ganking opportunities, just farm and push. Commandos are good at farming and pushing and you have the mobility to quickly switch from jungling/ganking to farming and back, so always either be attacking pros or bots. If you fall behind, it sucks, but generally even if you're not getting 10-0 in the first five minutes, you can stay even and effective by heavy farming. Basically, you're probably over-committing against full-health dudes. I would open with a grapple on people with reduced health, but against competent teams, it's unlikely you're going to burst a full-health pro down before help arrives. Remember, predators pick on the sick and wounded members of the pack.

There is also something to be said for harassing the opposing team without fully engaging. As Spark I like to throw Megahurtz, alt-fire Voltage Spike if I have it, and maybe get a few whacks for Flashing away just to stunt a push a bit or in general, cause a little panic. The dance pros do while blind from Megahurtz is really enertaining.

I realize that having those announcements is probably the right design call and a good thing for the fun of the game in general, but I'll still miss the old design. Needing your high mobility pros to keep an eye on the timer to check how long until it's back up, and constantly keeping in communication about it. Being the team that was better at collecting and distributing intel was a cool element of the game. Though, I suppose that's one little thing that makes the game just a tad easier for pub groups! As I said, probably the right idea. But it is another thing that makes me hope they have a lot of customization options for pre-made matches. Being able to switch that on and off, switch around Jackbot spawning options, choose your map, etc. Would be cool!

There's plenty of games where a fight will go on for 2-3 minutes and no one makes note of when they finally got it.
