Friar Zucchini posted:I know MW3 has the CM901, and I saw an ad in the NRA magazine about a recent AR-10 variant used as a sniper rifle, and there's plenty of other variants but I'm talking about a plain old Armalite AR-10. 7.62 NATO, selective fire, carry handle and iron sights, and no rails. As far as I know, having checked this page, no video game with any real variety of weapons uses a plain-jane AR-10. Or an alternate history about Portugal invading the Sudan.

I want my grandfather's guns. My uncle has them and isn't doing poo poo with them. Originally there were many guns, but I'm not sure how many he kept to the end and willed to my uncle; I know for sure a Beretta semi-auto shotgun from the 70s or 60s in 12ga and a .264 rifle I believe to be a Model 70 from the 60s since I know he killed a moose across a goddamn lake with it in 1969 or so. I know for sure those two made it to his son. He had a half-dozen 12gas and 20gas besides and a .243, a .270, and a .22 which I can recall being mentioned or having seen as a young kid. He was the first person to explain the concept of caliber (along with many other gun-things) to me as a young boy, because I didn't understand why he had several many guns which seemed similar to me. Anyway I loving want those guns

I just recently learned that ~somewhere~ in the family is a Luger my recently-passed grandfather brought back from serving in WWII. Nobody has any clue what happened to it. Maybe one of my uncles got it. Maybe it's locked in a cabinet somewhere. Maybe he dumped it at a police buyback.

![]() I want a Remington ACR with 10.5" barrel & suppressor. Yeah, I bought into the Magpul/COD Kool-Aid back in the day & my 1st airsoft gun was a knockoff Chinese Masada. I'm going to the local gun show now that I got my Linsanity fill and stare at the 1 or 2 Bushmaster ACR's that will be there, regretting that I'll never be able to get the Remington version anytime soon.

Yes. Bushmaster and Remington are owned by the same parent. Remington makes the version that they're actually trying to sell to the military, Bushmaster makes them for civilians and maybe police.

There's one in the gun shop by me right now, and a regular at the gun shows always has a bunch of them, I think he was involved in their manufacture somehow. They are probably the most tasteless guns possible. They seem to be made ok but I can't get past how ugly they are. The guy at the show has a poster for the Linda carbine, very early 90's big hair woman holding the gun I think. I should see if he has any more of the posters next show.
