The AER9 is pretty great. I mean, yeah, if you get the contacts gummed up with maple syrup while clearing out a bunker full of Canadian insurgents the microfusion cells won't seat right. Any gun would have that problem. But with with proper maintenance the things could last through a damned nuclear war and with no moving parts that basically means you just clean the lenses and contacts every couple of days.
