Though I usually prefer the Wild Battle music in later games, the original Red/Green/Blue/Yellow and their remakes win in the trainer battle department; the remakes, in particular, have that nice bridge (at 1:09 in the linked video) with two separate patterns going. It pleases me greatly to see that several tracks from Skies of Arcadia have already been posted, and really I could post the entire soundtrack to that game here. Instead, I'll just post The Last Battle and Legendary Sinking Continent As for other games, I absolutely adore the music in Metroid Prime's Phendrana Drifts and will forever hold that Flying Battery Zone is the best track in any Sonic game, although it has stiff competition from Mystic Caves, Chemical Plant and Hydrocity.

Red Dead Revolver had the best soundtrack because they realized that there was no way that they could make a Western soundtrack better than Ennio Morricone did, so they just licensed his lesser-known soundtracks.
