It's completely possible to miss that you can even talk to him, but they recorded like 20 loving minutes of new lines for Vigo the Carpathian in Ghostbusters: The Video Game, all voiced by Max von Sydow just like in the movies. His predictions for the "future"(the game takes place in the very early 90s) are especially fantastic.

In the new Layton cell phone game, Layton Brothers: Mystery Room, there's a character with the last name de Bonair, and it's most gloriously overwrought pun ever.

The first level of the pun is the simple de Bonair/debonair level.
The character is a radio director, so the second level is de Bonair. Radio, on air.
The third level comes in in a conversation where he keeps calling Layton by the wrong last name. The main character, Layton's assistant, calls him de Badair. Bad is the opposite of good, and the French word for good is bon.

It's a tri-level bi-lingual pun name.

does this game continue layton cannon?

It's only loosely related. The Layton in this game is one of Professor Layton's sons, and it takes place in more modern times.
