ShamrockShake posted:They cant afford to hold back on the Post-D3 release of Torchlight II. Max Schafer needs everyone to get back to work and hit their milestones for Runic's MMO if its going to meet its just after Titan release window. Not to mention all the people getting D3 for free by subbing to a year of WoW.

Meta Ridley posted:what did they do to starcraft 2? I don't recall anything bad about it, other than having to be online to play Single Player. But really, who buys an RTS game for single player? "You're playing the game wrong!" Lots of people do. That's why there are single-player campaigns.

I said come in! posted:Blizzard has made some changes over the years, but they still feel like the same developer that i've known since Warcraft I first came out. I don't think I can really say that about to many developers. All of the older ones are either gone now, or completely different. Not just new information, but I seem to recall them mentioning it'll be playable as well.

ShamrockShake posted:Is $60 really that hard up for you? I swore eariler that people in your situation didnt exist. I guess I'm wrong. I guess I'll compare Diablo III to foie gras then, fatty and blandly colored, full of opression in the production cycle and out of reach to the poors. $60 isn't a lot of money, but shockingly people usually don't like dropping sums of money over and over again in a short period of time on frivolities unless they're loving terrible with money.

I'm okay with that. One thing that always bothered me about a lot of ARPGs was the fact that getting from point A to point B (where either points weren't quest hubs like cities) was a bit of a timesink.

Wanted to love Diablo 3. I was really hoping there was enough there that I could overlook the always-online DRM but it just wasn't very fun to me. It felt like the game had me going through the motions of playing a game rather than actually playing a game.

Runic Games is at Pax East this weekend, so hopefully some more new information will come out.
