You are saying what I want to hear, therefore you must be correct. Yay, I don't have to feel a little bad!

Also, I think I need to move to a better baseball town if Milwaukee is the way non-terrible cities do things.

I'm not here to judge, but Milwaukee's opening day is a consumption orgasm inside of an abortion.

...with that being said, you should always take opening day off in my opinion. Further along in the season, you should convince your boss to have an off-site meeting at the park. If you can convince him to expense the tickets, even better. I'm speaking from experience. It loving owns.

Going to the D'Backs/Giants Opening Day game; gonna get there early for batting practice to see if Trammell and/or Gibson will sign my Tigers pennant for me.

I'm not a D'Backs fan, per se, but I do enjoy going to their games and wish for them to do well, if just for the fact that two ex-Tigers legends help manage the team.

Chase Field is also a drat nice baseball stadium.

I love Chase Field. I grew up in AZ but they didn't get a team until I was 15, or else I'd probably be a diehard Dbacks fan.

I hope Tram or Gibby signs your pennant.

It's so predictable but I can't help holding out hope that Bochy makes the right decision with a young guy for once. I don't even hate Pill but if he makes the roster and Belt starts in Fresno I am going to lose my goddamn mind.

As long as you have Zito in your rotation you will always have bigger problems.

Grozz Nuy
Feb 21, 2008

I've made my peace with Zito by now. He sucks and every fifth day he's going to give up four runs in five innings on average. This is a roster decision the team can actually do something about and Bochy is being just cagey enough about the final decision to make it seem like he might actually break the pattern and make the right move. Which is going to make it that much more infuriating when they end up trotting out Huff for at least month and a half before doing what they should have done as soon as Belt's hand healed last year.

If it was obvious that Dom was just in AAA to start the season because he didn't get enough playing time this spring due to being nicked up, I might be ok with it.

He's not though. I am not ok with it.

Well it's good that they're not rushing Turner, but of course a pitcher with 7 AA starts is making the Tigers' opening day roster.

Yeah seriously, Smyly shouldn't be anywhere close to the majors out of spring, it's just badly rushing a lesser prospect instead of the top one. The Tigers have this weird Roman gladiatorial approach to pitcher level placement that I'll never figure out.
