What makes you say this? I don't think they'll be an offensive juggernaut or anything, but it seems like they've made some pretty good additions this offseason (coupled with Longoria not hitting .244 again).

Carlos Pena > Casey Kotchman (maybe not last year, but they were close, even in a Kotchman career year)
Luke Scott > Johnny Damon (if he's healthy, anyway)
Full season of Desmond Jennings

Even if they're lateral moves offensively, it still seems like they'll have more power in the lineup, and that's never a bad thing

Longoria hit .244 but posted an OPS+ over 130. Getting significantly more production out of him is possible but not likely outside of playing a few more games this year.

that gif crops up here every few months, and every time it does I'm always mesmerized by it for at least a minute or so. If it weren't for Toronto Raptor skatecapades, that might be the greatest sports-related gif of all time.

Melky Cabrera hit two dingers today. One as a right-handed hitter and one batting lefty. Against the Dodgers. Is this... irrational exuberance i feel?

Melky is going to join a tradition of recent Giants players, but not the Posey kind :/

N: Today is the 10 year anniversary of Ruben Rivera stealing Derek Jeter's glove and selling it.

V: Snarky joke about a gift basket.

Still not the most embarrassing moment of his career.
