This is the case for all biotics and all classes. This is why I found it so frustrating yesterday when I was watching the IGN stream, and the guy was playing a vanguard with both an AR and a pistol. He's gimping himself by doing it, since the AR isn't that useful to vanguards.

Also I was playing this last night with my cousin watching, and the first cutscene involving TIM had us both cracking up, he looks janky as gently caress walking around, and in one scene he raises his arm to take a puff from his cigarette and his shoulder and upper and lower arm just kind of folded away behind his back and then back.

He looked mysterious and powerful and intimidating in ME2, from what I've seen of this so far, Martin Sheen's voice sounds ridiculous coming out of that silly-looking stick figure.

I've had characters just straight up walk out of a shot during a conversation (while still talking). I feel like they tried to make the conversations TOO dynamic, and the tight shots mixed with random walking about makes for some strange conversations.

So much fun! Well, while it lasted. I got to be bit where you're fighting a cadre of Cannibals with Anderson when my PS3 unceremoniously just shut the gently caress off.

Reboot? No, no. Green light, yellow light, blinking red light. gently caress my life.

So, Imma go back to GameStop today and pick it for PC. Any good save game editors so I can revive Tiberius Shepard from the cold, dark grave of my PS3's hard drive? Any and all help greatly appreciated.

AFAIK, the save editor only works with the PC and Xbox versions of ME2.

I haven't even started playing the game, yet, but this face import thing is kind of bothersome. I was planning on possibly playing a new character through 1 and 2 before getting to 3 so I can relearn what I forgot and catch up on the DLC I didn't play for the second game. Hopefully by then a patch for the 360 will be available. Or barring that, some kind of save edit trick I can pull off. Kind of awkward, but I can't imagine Mark Meer's voice coming out of any other face than the one I created in the first game. Then to top it off, I gave him TIM eyes with the editor for the second game. Not certain that'll translate all the well with a face import.

If it makes you feel better, I imported my character from ME1/ME2, and remade my face by hand, and it was super easy to recreate. ME3 doesn't have a ton in the way of face options, so there are only so many variables.

It took me about 15 min to get the same face I had in the other two games. Start the game and give it a try. You'll be surprised.

Yeah, my Spectre Terminal hasn't updated in a while either.

In general, I find side quests badly constructed. The worst is the journal. The journal hardly ever updates when you get farther in a quest. It's a real pain if I take a break, and then forget what I'm supposed to do next in the quest, because my journal won't tell me poo poo except the initial quest setup.

Also, if I find an item for a quest, the quest doesn't update saying I have it. So, if I'm not paying attention to the bottom right corner, and don't know what I picked up, I have no idea I can finish the quest.

I don't even carry a shotgun. Do you have the Scorpion pistol? It shoots tiny singularities at enemies. That plus biotic charge is devastating. Despite the small magazine on the Scorpion, one or two shots will literally cause most infantry to explode.

At first I thought the Scorpion kind of sucked, because I wasn't entirely sure if it was hurting my enemies, but it basically shoots tiny, timed singularities at enemies, which stick to them, and then explode after 2-3 seconds. The damage they do is a little ridiculous.

I'm surprised at how many people took Mass Effect's plot "seriously" in the first place. Seeing people saying they cried at points is completely baffling to me.

Unless you play complete Paragon, which is boring as poo poo, the entire series is basically Space - Archer The Game, with some elements from other sci-fi series thrown in. The whole point to the plot, for me, is creating situations that make me laugh the hardest, with a little bit of drama thrown in from time to time.

I will say that, being halfway or so through ME3, it seems to falter a bit at how over the top a lot of stuff you could do in the KOTOR games and ME1 and 2 were. I did a lot of random killing of people in quests in ME2, for instance, tossing people out of windows and such, and 3 isn't giving me an option to be as big of a jerk as I'd like. Now, Paragon and Renegade choices lead to the same immediate outcome, and there isn't nearly as much silly stuff to do that makes me laugh.

Well, I got a bit misty at a couple points, but it has nothing to do with the story. There's something to be said for having seen these characters in previous games, and gotten them through some poo poo that could have gotten them killed. It's like a nice little video game reunion, and then everyone at the reunion DIES.

What can I say? I'm a big ol' softy.

For me, it's 100% character attachment. Grunt's big battle cutscene had me on edge. Not because Grunt has had the most amazing characterization, but because I got him through Mass Effect 2, and I wasn't about to watch him die after all that.

To be honest, that's most of the appeal of ME3 to me. Things I did and people I know from ME1 and 2 are coming back, and even if it really doesn't affect the game greatly, I liked seeing decisions I made in ME1 come back to either haunt me, or help me.

I can't speak for anyone else, but character attachment and finishing the story is my main reason for playing ME3, and so far I haven't been disappointed.

However, the cool thing is that you collect Intel throughout the game. You can upload this Intel to Galaxy at War, which ups your Readiness percentage (similar to multiplayer). It's great for days like today when I won't be home to play Mass Effect 3, so I don't have to worry about my Readiness dropping that whole percentage point! :v: And once you beat it, you can upload the character into Galaxy at War as a war asset (I think he's worth 40 points, I don't remember exactly).

I liked Leng's fights. Felt different. And come on, when has there ever been a great boss fight where they were anywhere as good as when they are in a cutscene?

New Topic: What did you think about the soundtrack compared to the first two games. I really liked it, more than the others even (and the suicide mission was my jam for a long time).

I thought the Kai Leng fights were a lot of fun, especially the one on Thessia.

I beat the game last night with an EMS of 4100, and did each of the endings.

WHAT THE gently caress. What awful endings.

What the.... GOD DAMMIT.
