After plenty of making GBS threads up the post horrible mechanical failures thread with Sponge! talking about blowing poo poo up with science and the rest of us rednecks wanting to come watch, we needed a place to organize that here. I fully expect if we do manage to pull off a meet up, that I see poo poo exploding, get to see stupid cars (and kastiens MJ's  ), and get to drink a gently caress ton of beer.I'm thinking sometime this spring or summer on the weekend. I'm in anywhere as long as my Subaru doesn't explode. I'll update this lovely OP with details and other notable crap. I'd love to meetup in Cambridge/Somerville/Brighton/Allston preferably someplace with a lot where people aren't going to smash into my Mustang left and right and beer is available. PS: Don't assume because you see a lot of STIs over at a magic shop in Cambridge that it's some official NASIOC thing. For some reason nerds with money in New England love STIs and nerds with money are abundant in Cambridge for obvious reasons. It's silly how many nerdy guys I see rolling in WRXs.

Western Mass checking in. My car isn't really AI, but I'd still be down for a meetup. May I suggest the Summer Nationals in Worcester, MA? I went back in 2009 and all the colored specs you see in the distance add up to about 1/3 of the vehicles there.

I'm about equidistant between Boston and Providence  During the summer I usually go to Lowell for MINI meets, and there are also Subaru people that meet in a parking lot across the street from the ice cream place we go to I've also gone out west on rides around the quabin area and that is fun as long as you aren't stuck behind the Harley dudes putting around at 30mph

We should definitely do the Summer Nats even on the not blowing up stuff day. Also, this thread has given me ambition to work on the 67 Chevy today. Changing the intake gaskets right now cause we need a loud, fast and old pickup if we are gonna drink beer and blow stuff up the right way.

I'm totally down for this... blowing poo poo up, bonfires, wrenching parties, whatever. My yard is also available for blowing poo poo up, I'm right on the CT/mass line on 84/90 in Southbridge. Summer Nationals sounds like a great idea. (side note - if I can get enough wood together I'm probably having a bonfire tonight, will be welding bits of metal onto my jeep all day, free beer, anyone who feels like dropping by is welcome to) (and I have lots of rusty MJs, where lots = two)
