I prefer to think that it's Kiernan Shipka who scares January Jones. With her acting talent, that is. ...zing!

The best Pete is when he's interacting with his brother. "You know I was on the phone to mother earlier and you were all she talked about" "Really?" "No". (both laugh)

Hahaha. AMC aired a Mad Men promo during the Walking Dead season finale. Set to the Walking Dead theme music, "The Zombies are Back", showing various people stumbling around drunk/hungover. I laughed.

Speaking of January Jones, she's going to be on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon tonight. I'll be watching so I can swoon over her beauty and listen to any little Mad Men snippet I can catch

In the episode when Betty gives birth to Gene and she's having the weird dreams, she talks to her mom who is standing over a black man. Was this ever expanded on anywhere?

I like how all the pre-season reviews basically just say "It's Mad Men! It's good!" because of the letter Matthew Weiner sent with the screeners telling them what not to say.

Yeah, it's a pretty great time waster when all you can do at this point is just read neutered reviews for the first episode. I think the New York Times or New York Post, one of them, actually went into some spoilerific details of the premiere without ruining it entirely.

For anyone that's curious Don is married to Megan, who has made the jump from the secretarial pool to creative. She just writes coupon copy though. Betty was absent, Joan had the baby and is unhappy as a mother, and Pete is trying to oust Roger who remains racist and irrelevant

Is AMC airing the Sunday morning reruns out of order or something? It feels like at least once per three-ep block, the "previously on Mad Men" shows something I haven't seen before. Admittedly I missed the first season, but do they flashback to that stuff this often? Dammit, I need to re-up my Netflix sub...

I just watched season 4 episode 12 and i remembered that it had one of the greatest lines of the season. don has just written the letter about quitting tobacco and all the other partners are flipping a poo poo, and cooper just says "gently caress this i'm out" and walks out. the artists are sitting around speculating that people are going to be fired and cooper walks out holding his shoes and says "it's been a pleasure working with you all" and as he walks away stan says "i didn't think they were going to start with him."

Not sure if these have been posted yet, but I made my girlfriend watch these tonight in order to get her up to speed before the premiere. We started watching the show together, and despite enjoying it, she never watched past the season 1 finale. I don't know why. I loved it, so I pretty much marathoned seasons 2-4. But anyway, quick recaps of seasons 1-4 (don't watch these if you haven't seen the respective seasons yet, obviously): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aCPW6DNHcIE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9O0-zkTHbc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n36Lcs4TXwc Aaaaaaand then here's every on-screen appearance of Ms. Blankenship: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43vcOBfPzcU

I don't think Netflix updates on a per-episode basis do they? I figured they waited until a few months after the season was over.
