I've made some progress on my oath!![]() If I do glowing eyes what color should I use? The highlight on the horn tips needs to be redone, then I'll add some sparse grass after everything is sealed. Next up: the Glade Guard.

This...probably isn't acceptable, huh.![]() This Oath is for a Shark Guard (Basecoated grey, WH 40k, Citadel), a Glade Rider (Counts-as Wild Rider, WH Fantasy, Citadel), and a Wood Elf Archer (Counts-as Waywatcher, WH Fantasy, Marauder). lovely-arse cell phone from circa 2005 is the only camera I've got here besides the lovely-arse webcam wired into the laptop. Question about oathing dioramas. Hypothetically, would a picture of a block of wood (with time and date and the woodblock is clearly visible as being unpainted etc) that will form the base or plinth of the diorama be a valid WIP? Or would some measure of construction on the diorama be required?

I might actually accept that, but on the contingency that you provide evidence that you are physically capable of turning that block of wood into something useful--a table saw, carving tools, so on. White primer on a white screen is not the easiest to capture. I'm looking forward to getting my lovely, well-cataloged set of reaper paints up and moving again.

Oath Complete! All three Blood Claws, each with their own specialization! ![]() Another Blood Claw wielding a shield; I'll probably add a few more before the entire 15-man unit is finished. ![]() He also doubles as the Secret Ingredient entry: a bionic arm. ![]() Next up is the berserker; his love for you is like a Trukk. I had bought some Chaos Warriors to eventually convert into 13th Company/TWC-counts as models and wanted to include some leather glove-wearing models. I'll probably add a few more, like with the shield models, before the unit is finished. ![]() Finally, the Blood Claw with a Chainaxe. Not much to add except that I think he looks awesome; his model alone takes bits from several kits: -Space Marine Tactical Squad (backpack, shoulder pads) -Space Marine Assault Squad (legs) -Space Marine Scouts Squad (grenades on his hip) -Space Marine Sniper Scouts Squad (trophy Ork skull on hip) -Blood Angels Death Company Squad (head) -Space Wolf Pack (Chestplate, axe-handle and wolf-tail talisman) -Khorne Berserker Squad (chainaxe head, holstered pistol) ![]() I also decided to try using the new textured snow paint but ultimately feel like using sand and PVA glue will work better; I definitely foresee a use for the paint on, say, painting the treads/crevices on vehicles to represent accumulated snow. I also finished waaaaaay earlier than I expected, so if I get bored I'll probably oath Njal as well since he's been primed for like a million years already. Fake_EDIT: Also, if the models feel like they have a lot of blank areas it's because my decals from Forgeworld have not come in yet.

The boltgun specifically looks like it has paint on it, some kind of silver metallic. Having asked that, your WIP is accepted as it still meets all the criteria, I merely wish to ask you and everyone else that, if you can swing it, please turn off your flash when taking photos. If you can't, I'll likely have to stare at your photo like a curious dog for a time, and that hurts my neck. Verger posted:WIP Can I get an overhead shot of just the 60mm heavy weapon guys? A large sheet of paper with your forum name and the monthly theme ("battle damage" or "One spark for yes. Two sparks for no" this month) written big enough to read in the shot will do. Sole.Sushi might have something more specific he'd like to see though, since he's verifying them.

OATH COMPLETE! ![]() 4 days turnaround. The new paints are a dream, and the long weekend gave me time alone for once. Hooray! Comparing these to the night goblins I did two years ago are night and day -- these are so much more colourful and vibrant. Closeup on the bosses and command; Iron gob ingredient is the dents and rust on the banner and to a lesser extent the warbosses' swords. It's not a lot, but I'm a little new to doing damage and didn't want to go too crazy with these basic models. Also, the gong has some verdigris, but just a taste: ![]() I'll be adding to the oath, but need to see what I want to do next. May be another 20 archers and some fanatics.
