All righty. While the skeletal horses are two different colors, your WIP is accepted for two different reasons:
1) I've already gotten stupid this month, so you'll be fine with that.
2) More importantly, I'm pretty sure those are the old plastic skeletal horses that were bone colored plastic to start with. Why GW did that for just skeletal models is beyond me.

Anyways, good to go.

Thanks. The coloration is from the previous paintjob showing through. I didn't clean off the previous terrible paintjob, but after scraping off mould lines etc I hit them with some black undercoat but didn't exactly bother with good coverage.

I, thespaceinvader, do hereby add 1 (one) Saracens Lancer by Hell Dorado (converted with spiked chain/meteor hammer/rope dart/whatever instead of spear) to my Oath for the month of April.

There's the head on the left, the hand on top of the pin on the right, the body, and other hand (and spiked chain) in the middle, also an extra bit of spare chain, which I'm priming first to see how that all works. I can reshoot without that included if necessary. I've only primed so far.

This might actually persuade me to bloody finish him in time for the game I'm (hopefully) playing the character in at the beginning of May...

I, Muggins, have completed my extra oath for April of one Tervigon (previously completed three Mantis Warriors land speeders). Avert your eyes if you don't like dipped models!

I used a new dip and it came out a little too dark, so some touchups were needed. Hive Fleet Muggis is pretty darkly-colored overall anyway, and I like to paint the 'older' Tyranids in the fleet a darker color, as opposed to 'just born' dudes who are brighter. I've dipped pretty much every Tyranid model I've painted... makes it a lot faster and I'm a lazy hobbyist.

Basecoated, pre-dip. I used the front arms from a tyrannofex (fleshborer hive) that nobody would ever use just because they look super cool. Birthin' sacs are genestealer purple, chitin is mephiston red, body is primed with Army Painter human flesh, arms in front are troll slayer orange, hooves and talons and spikes are abaddon black, tongue and fleshborer holes are moot green.

Post dip touchups:

Babies comin' out

Hive fleet Muggis is currently encircling a jungle death world. All the bases reflect that. I tried some model railroad water effects:

Comparison to my old Tervigon. Yeah, it had 8 arms, no idea why I did that. The old one could wear the new one as a costume and walk around in it

So, what's gray and black, is mostly plastic, and barely fits inside a bag?

That's right: this is the bits bag. 424 grams, nearly a full pound of bits so far, and it's not done growing yet. So far, Thisway and myself have contributed to this mass of plastic crack, with hopefully more on the way.
Inside, you'll find the following, amongst other things:
Dark Elf bits, Dark Eldar bits, Space Marine bits (Blood Angels, Space Wolves, Grey Knights, C:SM, Dark Angels, Black Templars), Ork bits, Necron bits, Tau bits, Imperial Guard bits and random stuff that I have no idea where it came from but got thrown in there anyways. There's a lot of stuff in here, and it all goes to one lucky jerk that oaths and completes a GW product this year.

If you want to contribute to the bits bag, get in touch with either myself or Thisway. If you do, you'll gain the people's ovation and fame forever. Do right by Chairman Kagork's memory.

I was rocking along, feeling fine, doing reasonable, clean work, right up until it came to the eyes - just like always - at which point my hand turns from a relaxed and steady(ish) normal hand, into some form of industrial-strength vibrator. Fuckdamnit I hate eyes.

Otherwise, my additional is finished, other than basing, which is mostly finished. IN keeping with the mini, a desert theme. With some big rocks, on which to glue the chain to stop it flapping around too much.

These are all 28mm, it's the plastic ashigaru that Wargames Factory make. However, they feel "tiny" in that they are a bit more realistically proportioned compared to a PP or GW model. They are more of a pain to paint than a Paingiver Beastmaster or a Space Marine.

But I have 6mm miniatures too. Oh yes.
