Awesome. I've finally decided to get off my rear end and build/paint my Flames of War Italians, and now I can oath them? I cannot wait to have a basement full of painted Bersaglieri.

Also, it says '5 models' for Small/15mm. When painting something like infantry, are you talking 5 individual people or like five FoW bases? If the former, that's like one team/one base for Germans and Russians.

Also, do FoW models on a large base count as "average" (like my American 155s)? Do tanks/vehicles still get the bump up in "size"? I can imagine if you mean like Shermans or the such, but I've also got Tankettes and AS37 Autosahariana trucks.

Goddammit, so it looks like I'm back in the painting game after a year's break.

Would it be possible to flesh out the categories in the OP with some examples of models (and perhaps pretty pictures) to clear stuff up?

Dominion posted:

You mean for the sizes? If you play basically any common wargame (40K, Warhammer, Warmahordes, Infinity, Malifaux, etc) the infantry are 28mm.

I was operating on the idea of 'what scale are you working in?' rather than 'how big is it.' Also, FoW is 15mm.

But for pictures, here's one I took:

That's a Imp Guard (28mm) surrounded by FoW (15mm) American and Italian pieces.
Top row: Italian L3/35 Tankette, M13/40 (or M14/41), American M5A1 Stuart, M4A1 Sherman, M10 "Wolverine" 3-inch GMC
Next: Imp Guard, American Command Team (small base), Italian 47/32 & American rifle team (med base), jeep, Italian AS37, American 'light' 105mm Cannon.

If what I read is correct, all the vehicles and the large based cannon count equal to the IG. The Small and Med bases count as small.

Woodchuck is what most places have, but Hardcore, Magners, Evil Orchard, Strongbow, and Crispin are making strides. Crispin is my favorite.

Hornsby's is what I've seen the most often, with Strongbow in a close 2nd. And considering all the local beer sellers, I honestly thought they were the only two brands sold in the US.

And time for another Prize Update!

Whoever can paint the most variety in different product lines during April will win a Guild of Harmony Steampunk Dorothy!

I'm not sure what a steampunk Dorothy is (and I don't really care for steam punk), but I'll whore myself out to try and win this one!

3 gaming systems in one setting. So 3. If it has different rules to play, it'll count as another system.

I'm hoping we won't run into any issues with minimum oaths and size categories on this one. Most systems use models in the average category, so it shouldn't be too hard to find 3. I know I'm asking people to mix and match here a little, but I want people to still meet the minimums in at least one size category to save us some problems when determining valid oaths.

So, to be as picky as possible, with historicals it is not uncommon to have multiple company lines or even use the same models for multiple games.

For example, I can have a squad of three Panzer IIIs; one PIII by Battlefront/FoW, one by Zvezda, and one by Plastic Soldier Company. Furthermore, I can use all three in a different gaming system, such as "I Ain't Been Shot Mum", or Zvezda's own "Operation Barbarosa". So, in this hypothetical situation, would this be counted as 1 or 3 or someother number?

I'm more than safe, I was thinking more that this was an excellent time to paint up my PanO dudes and the Khador I've been sitting on forever than I was thinking 'that random guy from that random company will be swet sweet points' (although I do have a few characters from different lines which might as well earn their keep!)

I'm gonna keep myself from doing that, too, but I've been eyeing some Zvezda and PSC stuff for a long time. I've also got a ton of stuff I haven't touched since I graduated college (mostly GW, Warmachine, and some Reaper miniatures), and if I can get them painted up, I'll feel better about myself possibly getting a couple of Infiniti starter sets and stirring up trouble at my LGS.

Avanti! Bersaglieri!

Though, to be honest, the 6mm guys will probably have that locked down.

I, YF19pilot, Oath to paint 5 Italian M14/41 tanks

Right now they are all in a single basecoat, any discoloration is areas where the base coat is a little thinner. I will probably have more stuff coming along this month, but we'll have to see.

Before I forget because of work/laziness,

Oath Complete!

I'll have some more time/models next month, hopefully so I can do more than just the bare minimum.
