Man if I can't manage 3 models a month there is no hope for me. I will complete this year. I have to.

The bases thing is going to make it interesting for me, at least. I usually do the bases of an army in one fell swoop, but this time I will have to do them model by model. I guess I can just assemble the models, blutack them to a lid for painting, paint the bases seperately, glue them together.

I drink lager partially because I don't like it that much. It limits how much I drink and keeps me onside. If I drink Cider I'll get hosed before I even know what happened because its so tasty. Cider and spiced rum (Im secretly a little girl). Content; Looking forward to getting started on this. My girlfriend works with kids out of school due to family or medical issues and she has drafted me in to give one of them a painting lesson because he bought some models but isn't really confident about spending hours in a GW. Kinda excited about getting some painting done. He shall learn the magic of Devlan Mud. Blessed be its name.

The best thing about Dragonforge bases is that you can actually put your dudes on them. Its ridiculous how many resin bases are just piles of junk half an inch high. My guys need to stand on something pretty with both feet without looking like they are going to fall on their rear end.

SRM posted:Every time I go to Dragonforge's site I try to think of a new army to start so I can justify buying like 10 billion bases from them. I am upset because I spent a billion hours making my Sisters of Battle bases and I know for sure that I will one day cave and buy a shitload of Sanctuary bases. The only thing that stops me right now is the reluctance to throw away all that time.

Adrian Finol posted:I have to say I'm also confused about the wip stuff. The answer to that was "good question." The green/black speeder was accepted with a footnote that as of next month, any paint on the model must be one single colour. I'm sure your guys.would be okay for this month. People should just take shots of bare plastic whenever possible though, it saves hassle.

Glad I didn't oath yet because I'm not sure I'll even be able to get 3 models done. The new paints didn't even show up until a couple days ago and I have a heavy work schedule plus a driving test to take. Fallen at the first hurdle.

The confusion is just that the initial shot and the mid-month Work in progress shot are called the same thing. Personally I think that you should just rename the initial, unpainted photo to something else (oathmaker?) and keep it a required part of the process to ensure that its actually painted that month. Actual WIP photos are just for fun and not for any competitive benefit.
